Congratulations! Your timeline is really quick and it's very good sign to get an interview invitation. I submitted mine in Jan 3rd 2020 , after the AOR CIO & biometrics there no more progress.
Do you mean that you received your AoR or not yet!?

I've already got the AOR and submitted biometrics. I live in Canada currently and have a lawyer helping me track the case, lawyer says there's basically no any progress because of covid. The only thing can do is wait.

Also, I have submitted all the documents you can name. My lawyer says that this program's success rate is not very big, so make sure you submit all the documents you have to prove your qualification for this program, lots of applicants won't even have the chance to be asked for additional documents then get refused. It really depends on the officer who's handling the case.

Hi everyone,

This thread has been very helpful in learning about this program. Could someone have a look at my profile and see if it's feasible to apply?

  • I just graduated university with a Bachelor and seeking employment
  • I did 2 internships with Canadian companies, got paid well but only for 7 months
  • I was a volunteer writer for a local newspaper that focuses on Canadian culture and events for 3 years, not paid work
  • Currently doing freelance writing for other publications in Canada, though they don't pay a lot...
The requirement seems kinda vague with the contribution to canada culture thing so i'm not sure if my profile is good to apply.

Any replies are appreciated!

ECA is not required black-and-white but you may choose to do it.

I don't understand. If those qualifications are for claiming points, yes. Otherwise, depends.

My lawyer said they base it off the Express Entry proof of funds, which for a family of 5 is $27,315?

We are looking to land in Nova Scotia, so I'm hoping they'll take the cost of living there into consideration.
Sincerely I think what was specified by IRCC as minimum POF is well adequate. 40k for family Of 5 is very okay. Minimum is 27,300cad.
