Hi,Hi,
Could someone please, please provide me with the reference letter format for NOC - 5121. I am a copywriter by profession and I am looking to collect all my documents and keep them ready.
Thanks.
Hey! So I after cross checking, if your offer letter and designation states that you're a copywriter or content writer, don't bother about the roles and responsibilities listed. The scope of work is vast. Ensure to cover all the responsibilities you do and you can explain the rest in the LOE (Letter of explanation).Hi,
I am a content writer for a software company and am in the same boat as well. The job roles and responsibilities do not align well with NOC 5121 or 1123- professional occupations in marketing, advertising and PR. My work involves writing website, blog and social media content but I am confused about the NOC code to pick.
In case you went ahead with 5121 and have received a reference letter for the NOC, would you mind guiding me for the same?
Thanks a ton for the speedy reply! Cleared my doubts. Going forward with 5121 in case I get my ITA (I guess you did the same?). All the best and thanks once again! Super helpful!Hey! Hello,
As per the NOC website, the job description for copywriters consists of a mere point:
I work as a digital copy writer but the job title in my company is "Social Media Specialist". However, the tasks are similar to a copywriter. Also, my job includes a combination of tasks between NOC 5121 and NOC 1123 (however it doesn't cover all of the points of NOC 1123).
- Study and determine selling features of products and services and write text for advertisements and commercials.
So, would it be a problem if I applied under NOC 5121 with a job title of "Social Media Specialist" and a job description with a combination between 5121?
Thank you for you help in advance.
Thank you. Did you get your ITA?Hi, choose the NOC that best matches with your roles and responsibilities. If your role is that of a copywriter and the designation is something else, that should be fine. The initial paragraphs of the letter will mention that your core duties are that of a copywriter. Also, when you get an ITA, explain in the LOE (letter of explanation) about the designation part just to make things clear to the officer.
Not yet. Thanks to the pandemic, my IELTS expired and I am waiting to give it againThank you. Did you get your ITA?
How unfortunate! We are waiting for the TEF results, hopefully she can get the CLB 9 from the first time. Are you aiming at PNP or express entry? Not yet. Thanks to the pandemic, my IELTS expired and I am waiting to give it again
Ah ok! I'm going for express entry. It's been almost 3 years and a total roller coaster ride. Finally when things were falling in place the pandemic happened and I'm stuck again. Hopefully everything gets done soon. How unfortunate! We are waiting for the TEF results, hopefully she can get the CLB 9 from the first time. Are you aiming at PNP or express entry?
