Winter 2021 intake, biometrics submitted in July still no answer.

Hey everyone. I have submitted my application on July 27th and completed biometrics 2 days later. It's been 3 months now and nothing has changed. It says that my application is in progress since then. Review of eligibility and background check are both in progress as well. Applied from Lebanon. Do you think I should contact IRCC by now or wait for a couple of weeks?

Unfortunately, your application is most probably being processed in Ankara, and they are very slow (based on what I have learned from these forums). I applied from Lebanon too but for September 2020. Applied May 10th, Biometrics June 31st, and I passed first-stage processing (AIP) August 31st. Nothing else yet. So, you will have to be very patient :/
(I even sent them a form a few days ago asking about the application but got a generic (non-)reply. I think you will get the same if you ask now.) Probably better to wait a few more weeks in your case, especially that processing times were updated today, and Lebanon's increased from 8 weeks to 14 weeks, so you're still safe...

I see. Just noticed the updated processing times. My friend's timeline is very similar to yours and he told me that a decision has been made on his application 2 days ago so I think you should be getting something soon. Thanks for the answer and good luck

Hello there. Just wanted to give you an update about my application. I received an email on October 30th from IRCC that a decision has been made and they require the passport to finalize the processing. As they don't inform you about the decision via email, would I be able to know on the same day when I provide my passport whether my application was accepted or need to wait until I get the passport back? And any idea how long does it usually take them to return the passport?

I am happy for your situation but I cant really believe that they finalize july application . I applied in March, got aip but still didnt get OPR.

My friend, march 2nd submission here with upfront medicals and biometrics submitted on 6th.
SDS(no we're not rich but just arranged the money ) been waiting for 8 months now.
