Hi, when you applied for a visitor visa for you wife, have you mentioned that you submitted the spousal sponsorship ? thanks :)
Yes I did. At the time they were evaluating the visitor visa application, we have not yet received the AOR for the sponsorship application. Nonetheless, trying to conceal it would not be a great idea. Also, from what I know, those applications go to two different offices - the sponsorship application to IRCC office in Canada, and the visitor application to the local consulate in your spouse's country of residence. Nonetheless, I would still advise to openly mention the sponsorship application in the visitor invite.

If you don't mind ..can you tell what reason did you mention in the file for visitor visa?
I mentioned Covid situation preventing me from travelling to my spouse's country at the moment, and the only option being for her to travel to see me here. Also, the fact that my initial sponsorship application (submitted back in Dec 2019) was returned to me because of a single missing signature on an optional form (Use of a Representative), and when i resubmitted in March I have not gotten to AOR yet.

What would be your guess as your ghost update? Eligibility? Have you ordered gcms notes yet?

Yes, I did and received it on July 30th.

Both eligibility and security were not started, so I guess it may be related to this. The rest of the checks marked completed.

Hopefully, within two weeks we may receive positive news as that's the pattern CPC-M showed for applications that received ghost updates.

PA side on ECAS still showing as "Application received"
