My wife is a us citizen . She is quarantining with me currently in Canada from may . We have filed the permanent resident application (spousal Outland) but have not heard anything . Since she has overstayed (we are on month 8) we have already applied for an extension as well. However we need to go to usa . We are planning to fly see her parents and fly back . I am concerned that once we fly out she will not be allowed in. Input from the group is appreciated . What are our options in this case.

If you applied for an extension to her visit before she completed her six month allowed visit, then she has implied status and has not overstayed. She shouldn't have any issues returning.

Yes we applied before the end of her six months period (precisely 2 months before ). I am worried that they might stop us on the airport . Ans not allow her in. Do we need any documentation other than her American passport to re_enter?

Proof that you are married and proof that you have a 14 day quarantine plan.

Currently in the same situation. (haven't yet sent in the spousal sponsorship application, but applied for extension in August). We visited immediate family in the US and flying back to Canada tomorrow. Fingers crossed! Will update if we encounter any issues

Yes! It was a painless process. Presented our marriage certificate at YUL on arrival and the border officer informed my wife she could stay for 6 months. We're in quarantine at home now
