Income requirement for parent and grandparents sponsorship 2020

The the income requirement for current 2020 parents and grandparents sponsorship program is $40379, however income of myself and spouse put together is $40180 (short by $199). Would this be acceptable? are the income criteria stringent? Please note we do meet income requirements for 2019 and 2020 otherwise

No - this won't be accepted. Yes - the income criteria is very stringent.
