hi everyone, so I landed in Canada to my husband on Thursday 15 October, I went from guyana to miami,to Charlotte and then to canada.
There were no straight away flight.
Anyways the customs officer i got too when I meet in Canada was sooooo verrrrryyyyyy niceeeee,he was all happy for me when I presented my COPR ,and couldn't stop saying "congratulations."
So I wish u guys all the very best with this process, pray ,have faith & patience guys.
There's a very bright light at the end of the tunnel.

We were worried because we bought a return trip because it was $1000 cheaper for 3 people then a one way ticket. But Canada requires you to stay for 15 days and the ticket was for 14. They did not even question it. Did not ask what we bring. Did not ask for quarantine plan. Just make sure to download the arriveCan app on your phone and complete. If you need any help please ask!

I do not think a return ticket is needed?
The 14 days min rule is for visitors, not for Canadian or permanent residence, because its clearly permanent, now all are required 14 days quarantine after an international travel. That applies to all. But i do not think a return ticket is required for someone coming to Canada with no plan to return, am i making sense?
Or maybe because of the temp visa in the passport its needed because technically the person is not a pr till lands and see an officer.
Its so costly this process

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone that was able to help me and give support! We finally arrived in Canada early October 17. It took more time to wait for our luggage then it did to get through immigration once landing! I could not believe how easy it was. Probably less then an hour from getting off the plane in Toronto to getting to my car. I wish the best for everyone that is still waiting!

Congratulations Mitch. One question please, Your family flew since Ecuador to Toronto, it's true? What airline did you use? Copa airlines, Air Canada, took a direct flight? We are from Peru. My husband called Air Canada and they told him they only have flights from Mexico to Toronto, he called Air Canada and they told us there are no flights from Peru to Canada or from Panama. But there is from Mexico. Thanks for the info.

No. I meant it states that when you enter Canada you must stay for 15 days. For a one way ticket it was around $850 each x3. For round trip it was about $540 x3. It was cheaper to buy round trip then one way. So we took the risk and bought round trip even though we won't be using the return ticket

Yes. We flew Copa from Quito to Panama and then Panama to Toronto. Air Canada is horrible. I was flying down to Ecuador with them and they canceled my flight and rescheduled the flight for 12 hours after the connection. Do Copa if you can. Cheaper than going to Mexico. I think those flights are around $4000 but if you book copa in advance it is under $1000. But check prices of round trip and one way. For us it was cheaper to buy round trip.

They should do today, can't imagine we are stamped.., and it's been confirmed on October 14th

Did you get the letter that says it was stamped and affixed with COPR ? ( i did...and on gckey it says we're done processing your application)

just asked the MP to chek as my process is completed since last Wednesday...

We haven’t received anything like you did maybe because is handle with VFS is my guess? Status with VFS says is being processed only, I talk with another who also is waiting like us and same via VFS waiting same timeframe as us

I hope we get them soon I really want to book flight ASAP

They only send mail on Thursday.
