As long as you don't travel outside the US or St. Pierre et Miquelon, you will be re-admitted to Canada. The airline should let you travel, but some don't understand the rules and may bar you as they don't see a valid TRV in your passport.
Hii i have in trouble i have valid workpermit my study visa was expire .. i am in india and i have valid usa visitor visa so can i travel usa to canada on workpermit only ? .

As I understand it If you were leaving Canada only for visit to the US and returning to Canada and you have a valid work permit then you could do so without a valid TRV. However as you are in India then you would need a valid TRV even coming back via the US given your start point before the US was India not a Canada/US/Canada trip. Of course if you decide to take a chance with CBSA that you meet the Canada/US/Canada exception that is upto you but not advisable
Are you by saying study visa assume you mean study permit and not the TRV that was issued with your study permit
Also apart from fact this is an 8 year old thread it is about someone doing a Canada/US/Canada trip and not Canada/India/US/Canada
If you leave and return to Canada, you must travel with:
your valid study or work permit
your valid visitor visa
If you don’t have a valid visa when you check-in for a flight, it may result in travel delays (or a missed flight).
your valid passport
Exception: If you return directly from a visit only to the United States or St. Pierre and Miquelon, you don’t need a valid visitor visa if your study or work permit is still valid.
