Hi Guys,

I have searched this forum for a possible answer to my query but couldn't find something concrete.

I have been living in Canada for past 2.5 years now with my wife and our household income is sufficient enough to sponsor 6 persons or more (if we look at super visa financial eligibility).

1. Which process is quicker? Visit visa for parents or Super Visa?
2. My parents don't have much savings as I support them on a monthly basis to meet their expenses back home (Pakistan) so can I show my bank statements and financial stability as a proof of sufficient funds for travelling? (I know in super visa its mandatory but if I apply for visit visa, will they consider that?)
3. My parents don't have any property or own business in their name so in this case what should be considered as Strong ties to home country?

Appreciate if anyone can advice based on their experience and best knowledge.

Thanks.

1. Visit visa is lot quicker.
2. Yes, you can write a letter stating that you will be supporting them during their stay in Canada and will ensure that they will go back to their home country within the stipulated time. You can also get your wife to support the application in the same letter. Get the letter of support notarized in Canada.

Show your bank statements with funds in a Canadian bank. You can also include your wife's bank statements if she has funds in her account. Make sure to submit as many monthly statements as possible to show that you have funds in your bank account and that you are not dependent on those bank savings for your daily needs.

You should also include a letter from your current employer in Canada stating your position and salary etc. If your wife is working she can also include a letter from her employer. You both should also include Canadian income tax returns for the last 3-4 yrs to show the VO that you have a stable job, good source of funds etc.

3. Do your parents have a job or getting pension? You can use these as ties to your home country. Do you have siblings back home? You can also use them as ties to your home country.

Given the lack of assetts and ties there is a much better chance of them getting a supervisa. A TRV is primarily dependent on their savings, ties, travel history, etc. Your finances are secondary. Given that you are supporting them financially and they don't own a home their TRV application would not be very strong. These days there isn't a huge difference in processing times between TRV and supervisa.

Thanks for your response.

Ties to home country will be a problem to satisfy i believe. both of my siblings are working in UAE and my father does have a job but its just to keep himself busy and not the reason to go back for surely.

I have applied for my parents visitor visa yesterday. My father has a UCI and got his biometric letter but my mother's account does not have an UCI and biometric letter yet. Can anyone help with the information on how long it takes to show up UCI?
