Hi all

I took my oath and i am a citizen now. But i just wanted to advise that if u were requested for finger prints and its been more than 1 yr since you shared them with immig department. Please go ahead and resnd the finger prints again without them asking for it. You could use same requisition from last time. The reason is in most of the cases where people are waiting for oath are told that finger prints expired and this could delay your oath by another 6 months.

Could you actually provide some more insight on this? I have never, ever been required to give my fingerprints. The only time I reckon would have been when I was a child during my landing with my parents in 2007. After that, I only remember doing it when applying for a visa to the EU for a summer camp.

There were no requirements listed when applying for the citizenship but are finger prints generally required later on in the process?
