Please I would like to find out. If I applied as spouse non-accompanying probably because of the high scores just in order the get ITA. Can my spouse come with me to Canada after I get PR for initial landing? How long can he stay? Can he come and stay and work in Canada? If yes, how easy or hard will it be to get a work permit? What kind of visa will he need too.We have an infant too.

If u r going to enter non accompanying spouse then he will not be able to come to Canada with u. You'll have to sponsor him in a family sponsorship program which takes around 12 months. If he does get visa, u could start a inland spouse sponsorship and get work permit along with that. Still same timeline. No guarantee that he'll get trv. Hopefully @legalfalcon will be able to help u

@felicialiu is absolutely right.

As a non accompanying spouse, you can apply for a TRV, but it is processed on its own merits, and a TRV is to come to Canada for a temporary time and leave. Once of the factors looked into is whether the applicant will leave at the end of the stay.

Nearly one year for PR application, and I am in an inland applicant, application stuck at just 1 applicant criminality, RCMP submitted 3 months ago... Medical now expired..

Shall we involve MP to chase our application?

Hi @Engineer43 ,
it looks like we are in a similar boat.
I'm inland CEC, medicals expired. Last update/communication from IRCC - April 2020.
I keep in touch with my MP Office since February 2020... Getting updates from them every month or so.
Since May 2020 I am getting the same exact update -"the application looks good, everything is passed expect medicals, be patient".
Not sure if they can actually do anything about our applications.
The funny thing is - when you check other threads on this forum (AOR April or May 2020) - these guys are getting PPRs no problem after just a couple of months. Why IRCC is not working on applications from the bottom to the top is beyond my comprehension.

Applications are assigned to different offices which have different number of resources

Hi Bilybingosky,
I have exact same situation, CEC inland applicant AOR Nov.15. Everything passed and medical expired. I spoke with MP, but they did not get any response.
I have seen several cases similar to our cases in this group. What about singing a petition/writing on twitter to IRCC?
It is not fair to see people from April-July 2020 are getting PR and our cases are frozen however we passed all the stages!!!
Any member of the group has a similar situation, please respond to share ideas/sign petition.

Hi @Engineer43 and @Ali_123 ,
absolutely - I would love to somehow finalize this entire process.

BTW - my application was being processed by the office in Edmonton until it was transferred to Ottawa in April 2020 due to "workload redistribution" (as per my GCMS notes). No movement on the file whatsoever since April.

@legalfalcon - is there any way we (as inland applicants) can reach out to authorities and expedite the processing of applications?

So Ottawa office is "ghost Office"

@legalfalcon is there any way in the eye of law to highlight IRCC how much they are affecting our personal lives.

Do you think petition? or maybe an official letter to IRCC demanding the reason of delays (surely not COVID as they hired more ghosts oops sorry staff recently)

Please enlighten us ...

Unfortunately there is no way to expedite the process. However, some inland applicants have met their MP from three riding. You too can contact your MP and ask for assistance.

The MP can get your current application info form IRCC within 48 hours, which is very accurate and also write to IRCC if you have any specific issues, such that may be hindering you form making some decisions. Like buying a house, marriage, etc.
