I have recently submitted mine and my wife's application together. For her, I have sent a Diploma only (no transcript) from India that of course doesn't say the medium of instruction is English although the certificate itself is in English. Nor have I sent any special letter mentioning this fact.

My personal 'opinion' is that why would a certificate be in English if the instruction was not in English. Doesn't make sense to me. Although CIC can think otherwise and send our application back if they please. In which case, my wife would have to give an exam I guess.

I do not want to make you worried but I have a bachelor degree in engineering from Egypt, and both the transcript and the diploma are in English. Textbooks were in English and exams were in English but the instruction was 70-80% in Arabic. We used English when it comes to symbols, equations, terminology, etc. For your opinion, they issue transcripts and diplomas in English in order to use them internationally. For instance, I used them when I applied to grad school here in Canada.

Hi Guys, Sorry for posting here.

I am gathering all the documents to send to Sydney for my citizenship. Quick question.

1. No where in any application process it asks me about my PR card details. Is that right? or am missing something?
2. Also biographical pages of passport means, only first and last pages of passport? Or all Passport pages with Visa stampings as well?
3. I thinking of submitting My driver's license and passport first and last pages as Identity documents. Is that okay?

Please help me.

1. It asks for your UCI number in 3(b). That is your PR card detail.
2. Yes, just the first and last page. No need of all visa pages in between.
3. Yes, that should be fine. Just make sure your license is current and your home/mailing address match with that on the license.

You are not even eligible to apply for citizenship yet... you have to spend at least 2 years on PR, regardless how long you spent on temporary permits.

I submitted my citizenship application in Sep 2020 and did not realize at that time that I had to submit name change documents. I changed my last name at time of my marriage while i was outside Canada and my PR (spousal sponsorship) was in my married name.

According to Appendix A of the application guide:

If you have legally changed your name outside Canada and are residing in Canada
Then you must provide a copy of the following documents:

A foreign passport or other national authoritative documentation amended to reflect the new name;
A foreign name change document that links your previous name to your new name, such as a foreign marriage certificate (with an official translation); and
A document in the new name from Canadian provinces or territories (ex. driver's licence, health card, age of majority card, senior citizen’s identification card, or social service card)

In my case,

1) I have provided photocopies of 2 passports, one with my maiden name and my current passport with my married name. This was already a requirement of the doc checklist.
2) I have also provided a copy of my drivers license as part of personal ID document.
3) I did not check "Photocopies of Name Change Documents" in my document checklist.
4) I did not provide my marriage certificate.

Can I do anything at this point? Will my application be deemed incomplete and returned?
Most likely be returned as incomplete.

Most likely be returned as incomplete.
ction guide again.

Step 4. 4b states:
If you changed your name and/or gender since becoming a Permanent Resident, check the "yes" box and provide the required documents listed in Appendix A.

It is crystal clear. Since I did not, I do not need to provide those docs and my application is complete
