I have a question regarding GCMS notes, my friend has applied for SP through Agent(India) and ordered GCMS notes through thegcmsonline.com and now my agent says the counselor name on my SP application would have changed to this third-party person from thegcmsonline.com who on my behalf ordered GCMS notes for my friend;s application. How true is this and should I be worried about it ?
As Trump would say, "Fake News". Agent is just furious that (s)he ordered without him/her being getting involved. Your friend only signed a consent form to let thegcmsonline.com order GCMS on your friends behalf. It does not update any information on file. His/Her agent is still the actual representative on the file.

Hey guys, I just received my gcms notes. Can you please review it and let me know if it is in fact approved (but they haven't issued the ppr):

Both the first stage assessment and second stage assessment were completed on the same day for me.
Under the (outgoing: 2) for the correspondence section it states that the passport request has a due date of 08/23/2020 (mm/dd/yyyy) but the status says "Not started".

Under the assessment section the final was left blank for some reason and the counterfoil req has a yes next to it. What does that mean?

Final:
The Counterfoil Req: Yes

As for the notes left by the Visa officer at the end,

First note: A positive stage one preliminary eligibility assessment has been made on this application.

Second note: LOA provided. Funds ok. Satsified PA is a genunie student and will leave Canada at the end of authorized stay. Approved SP validity: yyyy/mm/dd. SP remarks: may accept employment.... (and so on)

(In the second note it says the SP is approved and they gave me an expiration date for it)

Trump would also say this to the agent that 'You are fired!'

Many thanks for your response. Could you please share your timeline and country from which you did apply from. Thanks!
Absolutely,
Applied from USA May 20, 2020 (without biometrics)
Biometrics on July 27 (no need for medicals on my end)
AIP on August 14

Then I received GCMS (29th of September) that showed the final decision was made by the visa officer on the same day I received AIP.
They haven't started the passport request but the due date for them on the GCMS notes was 08/23/2020 (mm/dd/yyyy)

It has been 4 months (which is the processing time where I live) since my application was submitted in June, received AIP on September 8th. I am thinking of requesting GCMS notes now. How long did it take for them to arrive?

Do you think I should wait a bit, or even order multiple GCMS notes while waiting for the 1st GCMS notes so that if it is out of date, I will not have to wait so much for the newer GCMS?

It took 20 days for me to receive the GCMS notes.

I would recommend ordering them now. There is no need to order multiple, especially for a Study permit application. Since you got AIP, go ahead and order it, it most likely means that a Visa Officer has reviewed your application and left some notes. It would also help to have a complete application, that way you know they have everything and are making decisions based on that.

The GCMS notes aren't generated on the day you order them, Mine was generated 1.5 weeks after ordering it, other people around 3-5 days, so it depends.

I used https://caipsnotes.com/ to order them.
I would recommend ordering them if you got AIP or if you didn't (especially by now). Don't leave yourselves in the dark and hope for a random update with a decision.

Also, make sure you focus on the notes towards the end (last 2-3 pages of GCMS notes), the visa officer's notes will show up there if there are any.
