I was never asked to submit the picture of PR card and never received an email to send it. Just signed form. Did anyone else was asked to sent the PR card picture after it is cut.
Based on what I have read from multiple people in this forum, I have noticed that the process of destroying the PR card differs from processing office to office.
I was asked to destroy the card after the virtual oath session and was sent an email containing the instructions to destroy the card and was asked to send them the photo proof of the destroyed card as a reply to that email along with the signed oath form.
While many others have reported that they were instructed during the virtual oath session to cut the PR card and were not required to send the photo of the destroyed card after the call. Just the signed oath form was required to be emailed back.
So don't worry if you fall in the second category of cases. You are all set.
Congratulations on being a Canadian!
