That’s great. So you didn’t see it on your application but officer verified that the biometrics you’ve previously given will exempt you? I don’t see anything on my application as well but I provided biometrics when I applied for study permit in 2018.
Just said that if i've given biometrics for other ircc applications in the last 10 years, i will be exempt from providing it again.

So if I got my work permit on October 2018, my biometrics is not valid?
Your biometrics are valid. Individuals who gave their biometrics in the past 10 years should be exempt. What I tried to say was the biometrics rule was put in place in early 2019 (not sure about the exact date) therefore, the majority of applicants that had applied for visa (refugee,..) before this date (early 2018, 2017, 2016, ...) don't have their biometrics done.

AOR March 28, status bar is 98% and biometrics is waived. Let's hope for a little happiness coming to my email box lol.
Wouldn't read too much into the status bar since that's really based on the date your application was received but hoping you hear something soon. Seems like PPRs are starting to trickle in slowly for March applicants so that's good. All the best!

Hey Everyone,
i am just trying to gauge if someone got the PR email if they submitted the application in March. I understand the priority is given to essential workers and families who are stuck.
I am in Canada working, submitted my application around March 4th. I was not able to provide my Biometric due to COVID closures. Any information is appreciated.

There was one March AOR approved earlier this week on this forum. Are you exempt from biometrics?

Login to your cic account and it will show up in your application status.
Hi I gave my biomatrix information last year for work permit application, but my PR application system still shows pending, waiting for my information. how can I know I'm excepted or not? should I call them?

A member called SC and the agent said it was updated in their system, not in our regular interface. Let give them sometimes then.

I am actually not sure. I dont remember if i gave biometrics in the past. If one March AOR was processed last week, lets wait a bit more. I will update if things change on my side. My AOR was March 4th, so it should be pretty high up the ladder.
