PPR delays due to covid-19

It really makes no sense whatsoever. You'd think all the delay is due to waiting period due for each step of the application processing and once everything gets completed, your application gets approved automatically. Seems like there's no system in place or accountability of IRCC and they can just ignore applicants if so they choose even after process completion.

Are you inland or outland? If you're inland, maybe it can help to talk to your local MP to get some action done.
Nope I'm outland. I talked to couple of agents. Told them its not fair cause people who applied way later than I did are receiving their ppr and mine (although every step is complete) has been waitinf for a final officer review for the past 6 months and you know what he told me? That you can not compare yourself to others!!! And I'm like to what can I compare my case then? They dun even make sense. I'm afraid my officer is either dead or fired so that his/her applications are just down the garbage shoot (you know cause that's the easiest solution for IRCC to handle applications)

What if I send a webform and request an urgent review of my application as it has been quite some time since my application is in review, would it help?
You definitely should communicate this concern of yours. However, I think they're deliberately delaying PPRs especially for outland applicants to stall the inflow of new immigrants and once things go back to normal, they will issue PPRs all at once for applications pending review for a final decision. Don't lose hope just yet.

I'm giving it one more month and if I hear nothing back I will call and ask to file an official complaint against my case officer as it is imposing a great deal of distress on me. I doubt it'll do any help though cause you know, who cares aboutt one applicant?

Omg that's pathetic... If the whole country works like their immigration system I gotta rethink my decision of moving to Canada. Honestly...

I have seen applicants waiting for longer than 2 years on what should be a straightforward process. It's unfortunate but what can you do? Best to move on with your life and look for other options until they're reminded of you again. They can't just not take a decision forever.

Yeah I know. All in all, so frustrating and so pathetic on their account.
Such a pity I didn't consider other countries from the beginning.

They should at the very least start putting a disclaimer before you submit your application that "Don't raise your expectations or plan anything in anticipation of immigrating to Canada. It may never happen!!!"

A lot of European countries offer quick paths for temporary residence cards that can be renewed then either give you a path to permanent residence or citizenship after generally 5 years for most of them.
Could you give some examples. I am thinking about alternatives as well.

Last I checked, you must have a work contract or job offer in order to move to any EU country which in most cases impossible to get without having language proficiency of an EU nation where you're looking to settle.

Well it depends on the programs offered and your profile ,from last February till now I managed to get three approvals from EU countries and I don't know the language from any , check the startup residence programs if you are an IT dev , there is a residency program in most EU countries all you need is a somehow innovative idea and a working prototype.

As said above if you are an IT dev or can get an it devs team together to implement one of your ideas into a prototype you can apply to one of the startup residence programs available throughout many EU countries as well as in Canada and Australia.

Yeah! Imagine your eligibility was passed 12 months ago and no ppr still!! Ok so let's say 4-5 months for coronavirus, so still 8 months delay. I am the definition of helpless right now.
And the most desparate part is that no one can help me. There is no way you can make them decide on your case. Not even from a legal standpoint. They will just do it whenever they feel like it. So like I have to just obey whatever they desire. So hopeless.
Is the final decision made on your application? Do you see Approved on the final?

I believe travel restriction is blocking your PPR.
