Rozeena,

It is very complicated I don't think it will qualify for CEC because I directly asked the recruiter if I could use the Toronto office address if I needed an employment letter in the future and she replied to say It would be the address of the residence I am at, I guess because it's work from home l. I would say double check with your recruiter as well

Thanks
Recuitors doesn't give legitimate answers on this types of questions. Even concentrix has tech support opportunities. Do you think is this company will qualify for cec? I am so confused and keeping me stressful....!

Based on my understanding if u can show the Canadian address it would qualify, which is why I wanted to know if I could use the Toronto address or not. It is a very tedious process. Hopefully someone with more experience can give some insight

If you are here under an open work permit, classify yourself as self employed and are paying taxes, then I believe you can count this as Canadian work experience - however not towards Canadian Experience Class (CEC) since self employed work experience isn't accepted by CEC.
hi @scylla I am in an open work permit, employed full time by my us based company , remotely working in Ontario and is paying canadian taxes. I will have a T4 by end of year. Will this qualify me for CEC despite my employer being in the US and me carrying out the work here in Canada?

How have you structured your employment given that you are getting a T4?

They outsourced their payroll via ADP Canada. And then I just work remotely full time 40hrs a week for them. They provided me a laptop to carry out my tasks.

It will make you eligible for FSW (not CEC). Of course whether you are selected depends on how many points you have. Right now you need 470+ points to be chosen out of the pool.
Hi!
Will my work will be counted for minimum criteria to enter Express entry(FSW) pool based in the following senerio?
I worked for an employer remotely in my own country(I am citizen of that country) continuously for 1 year.
Pay slips, experience letter is available, as well as the proof that filed taxes in my own country.
During that 1 year, I stayed in my own country(where the employer is based) for 4.5 months. I was in Canada for the rest of the time(On the post graduate work permit).
My work experience does not overlaps with my study duration, I started working after completing my studies.
I do not wish it to be counted as Canadian experience(As I know it will not be counted as that)
I just want to be counted towards the minimum requirement to enter FSW express entry pool even if I don't get CRS points for it.
I have good profile with job offer in Canada, I can do well without these CRS points too.

Will I be eligible for FSW?
