Hello Everyone
I am 42, English 1st lang. with 2 IT degrees, and a Senior Manager in the Information Technology field, 20 years IT experience. I am really keen on immigrating to Canada, however my CRS score is approx 330, mostly due to age. I see that people are getting invites with scores of approx 450. I am really far off. The situation in South Africa is not great, and due to time and the costs involved with immigration processes of various countries in general, I can only really pursue immigration opportunities to countries where there is a realistic chance of success. Does any know any people being successful in recent times through the skilled immigrant process that are over 40 with Skill Type 0 What is generally the percentage success rate with applicants that fall in this age bracket? I am also aware of the additional points via the PNP, and I have looked through the information specifically for Ontario, Quebec etc, of concern again would be lack of interest due to my age. Should I still pursue Canada at 42 or look elsewhere? I would really appreciate advice on this please. Thank you for taking the time to read and respond to this message.
Kind Regards
Anashen
