Is it true that students who took CERB are getting their work permit rejected?

Rejected reason being : They showed their funds were sufficient for the education and living expenses for 2 years but still they applied for CERB.

Then someone who has been rejected because of this, has to post the official rejection they received from the IRCC, until
someone has done this , it would just be hearsay and wouldn’t put to much faith in it

I don’t know the real answer but few of my friends informed me that their friends got their workpermit rejected due to CERB. I have applied for CERB too and is waiting for my response to workpermit which I applied 3 months ago.
Whenever I gets any update regarding my PSGP I will share it with you.

CERB is likely part of the whole picture. If they are receiving CERB and not working people are unlikely to get the work permit extended. If your savings are coming from CERB and you are using that money to show you can pay for school there will also be concern that you’ll continue receiving unemployment and without it you won’t be able to support yourself given the higher unemployment rates. If you have enough savings to pay for school and expenses without counting the CERB money you are likely to be fine. Canada is unlikely to extend a study permit if people are dependent on CERB to pay for their expenses as a student. Students were always expected to show that they could support themselves without finding employment. In general it is always best for people on temporary work permits to return to work ASAP even if they would receive the same amount or more staying home on CERB.

Receiving CERB may well be considered for study permit extensions, but of course for a PGWP there are no extensions. And there is still zero actual evidence that CERB recipients are having their PGWP applications rejected for that reason.

Was speaking in general terms about WP. Of course PGWP can’t be extended.

I have heard of students getting their work permit rejected if they have applied for CERB. Also, I would like to know what if we return the amount of CERB back before applying for the work permit, can this solve the issue?

Still waiting for someone to provide actual proof that receiving CERB makes you ineligible for a PGWP. (It doesn't.)
