This is a great support forum. Looking to build a peer support network fro September 2020 applicants like I see in the other threads that have provided great information for our application.

Some links:

- Google Sheets Tracking for 2020: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LxDFjvZn-XR9uZpGbPTORYKQf0BMquSXNw0RvmqvZNU/edit#gid=1032392117
- Great thread by JoshC on the entire process post application: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/the-outland-sponsorship-process.639134/

Also great information from JoshC from May 2020:

Looks like we're in for a long wait. But the cup is half full for us.

Hey bcakes! Looks like you created yours a few days after I started this one. No worries. We're all in this together!
Yup. I didn't notice this thread so I created another. And yes, we're all in this together.

How long do you think it will take now, from September?
In looking at the Google Sheets document it looks like there hasn't been any movement for April 2020 Outland onward. So, based on the one year processing time CIC had before Covid my guess (100% guess based on the spreadsheet) is it's going to be 18+ months. Hopefully the Canadian Gov't will be able to add some more resources to at least screen the applications for completeness to streamline the process so we don't get a returned application and have to restart the clock.

Wasn't there a program from the CDN government a few years back to speed up immigration processing? Maybe they will lean on that to try and keep to the 12 month window as things get back to "normal."

We're happy we started the clock but with hindsight wish we applied a lot sooner.

at the current rate its 1 year to get AOR/SA/BIO/MED and another 6-12 months to transfer to VO to PPR. So yeah, 18+ months sounds about right.

Welcome @Kiran90!

@bcakes, triple check the signatures. Especially Schedule A where you have to sign next to the typed signature section - an easy one to miss. Last thing anyone needs is to have the application returned and have to line up at the back again.

Yup. I made sure not to miss it. Read the complete guide and checked everything as well. Also, made a note explaining for them to get the correct version of form IMM 5669 because the 2018 can be validated and the 2019 one cant be validated so I prepared both forms.
