As far as I know, IRCC does not issue COPR now even if you have the Biometrics. Candidates with AOR March are still waiting despite they passed every stage, incl. the biometrics (they could give it before Covid-19). Furthermore, IRCC does not want us to go to the POEs and international visa offices to give BIo. I would suggest checking those before going abroad.

Well, you can go to the US, but if you're not a Canadian or permanent residence, you cannot go back to Canada, unless the officer board allows you.

People who received their work permits before March 18 are exempt from travel restrictions and your travel back to Canada is considered non-discretionary as long as your primary residence is in Canada. Your primary residence is where you live for the better part of the year. Yes, it’s ultimately the officer’s discretion but it has always been that way even before COVID as temporary residents do not have the right to enter Canada unlike Canadian citizens and permanent residents. As long as you can prove to the CBSA officer that you work and live in Canada, the odds of you being denied entry is very low. I am sure you can Google to fact check this.

7th july - service canada started gradual and safe reopening in-person.... its been now 2 months ..
15th July - biometrics exemption for temporary resident

as per note -
Passport and biometrics services will not be available during the first phase of the reopening of Service Canada Centres. For urgent passport services in Canada, clients can visit Canada.ca/passport for the latest updates. Honestly bro, nobody knows, some will say they are processing but slowly, nobody knows slowly means slow in speed or slowly means slang for not processing it now will do when its wo called safe.

Logged into my CIC account today for the first time in a few days. Got a ghost update but that's probably because I submitted a webform with an address change on the 21st August. They didn't respond to the part where I asked about an update for my application....

But nothing in my profile has changed..... then when I logged out and logged back in the status changed back to Submitted and nothing in my profile has changed... anyone experienced this? Below is my profile details... that August 31, 2020 additional doc was the fingerprint based RCMP criminal check I uploaded.

Yes that's called a ghost update. It's thought that it happens when someone has been looking at your file so it's a good sign.

I am exactly at same point since last month, I got 3 ghost updates in a day. I log in and it's all same. I felt as if somebody was having fun giving ghost update and laugh when I log in to check. Haha

I've been asked to provide a new police certificate as an additional(I had uploaded one when submitting my application). Can I upload a police certificate that is for a month ago? Do dates of additionals need to be issued after they've been asked? This is for a country that I have not been to since 2013.
