Hi guys, i am new to this forum, I have my application received by the NS office on Feb 27, 2020

and there is no news since then, not even the AOR1, is that normal? or I should got at least AOR1?

Should I give a call/ email to the NS office?

Someones file got moved to visa office from Oct 2019 i can see that in spreadsheet.
So i guess Nova Scotia is working at a slow pace.

I know everyone is frustrated with slow pace, but I think once school starts they will get more employees back as COVID made it harder for childcare across many professions.

I hope you're right about that... I currently have 3 friends who work at IRCC who have been sent home while still being paid for a couple of months now...

Unless they uploaded your entire file online, it would be hard to work at home since all the information is confidential and they have to keep it secure.

Exactly! That's why I heard that they are taking their sweet time to scan each file so that employees can *soon* work on them from their homes.

I received an email from NS today that a refund of $150 was initiated. I will call tomorrow morning to inquire about it. That was the fee paid for my stepdaughter as dependent child.

Cool.it seems they started working, You will get the refund for excess fee payment. Did you pay for bio metric for her and it may not be required? I had received a refund for my daughter's bio metric in the month of March.
