My parents landed in 2019 and completed the mandatory 153 days period for OHIp after landing
They left the countery and then planned to travel back in Apr 2020 to resume OHIP coverage.. unfortunately, due to COVID all the airlines cancelled the tickets and refunded them
Now they want to travel again . I heard that OHIP coverage has been expanded to remove 3 month wait period in March. Is it still waived?

Did they remain in Ontario for 6 months in the first year?

Yes it is still waived but that could be changed anytime.

I don't think they did based on the OP's other post.
Assume so as well which means they were never entitled to recieve OHIP and could be asked to pay back ane health services they used. They must meet the 1st year residency requirements again and should really be reapplying since they didn't meet the requirements the 1st time.
