Just be patient and wait. That's all I can do right now. God knows when service canada will be opened. May be in couple of months I'll order Gcms notes to get clear picture what's going on. Anyways good luck with your Application.

Hi guys,
Can someone clarify this please?
I got my ITA last draw (CEC) and in the process of collecting the docs.
I did medicals (NON EDE WORKER) for myself but for my family members (they are outside of Canada and have valid visitor visa) what type of medicals have to be done? Same NON EDE Worker or any other type?

I am also applying from Singapore.
As far as I know, we can move to another job/place but we have to update IRCC.
Great to know! Thank you for the info!
Guess I might as well stay in Singapore for a while as this is one of the few places that has an open VFS office:)

It does not matter whether the person is in Canada or outside Canada. When you present yourself to the panel physician, inform him that you need medicals for PR.

Excessive Demand Exempt (EDE), all PR applicants need a NON EDE.

1. Most applicants who are in Canada, will be asked for a RCMP PCC later in the process. It will depend on how long have you lived in Canada for. The instructions are available at https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/medical-police/police-certificates/how/canada.html

2. The progress bar will show up in 1-4 weeks, depends on when your application meets R10. The 6 months processing time starts from the day when the R10 is done and not AoR.

3. Biometrics is not a part of immigration law as such, it was recently added as a requirement in the IRPA. It is required, but the processing does not stop. Your application will continue to progress, but can only be approved after biometrics are on file.

For latest instructions on biometrics see https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/biometrics.html

Who needs to give biometrics https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp
Thanks @legalfalcon. Regarding RCMP PCC, can we do it upfront or we have to wait for instructions from IRCC?

What is meant by medical completed upfront? is this the medical which we attach in the ITA application?
