Is there any possibility that IRCC will fully resume all program draws this year instead of doing alternate draws? Is there any hope this would happen early next year?

It seems like without going back to the , the cutoff score will never go below 471 again. o_O

I wish they do that. Maybe next year. No one knows. 2020 has been the worst for FSWs :(

Hello,

Anybody here gave the IELTS speaking test wearing mask? How did it go?

Please help, I have mine scheduled Friday
Yes, I had. I was comfortable speaking with the mask on. It wouldn't make any difference. Moreover its only a matter of 11-15 mins. You'll be done even before you realize. I reckon do not keep bothering yourself about wearing a mask and rather concentrate on your preparation.

To add on if it helps, I did my TEF french speaking with a mask on as well and it hardly mattered. English should be a breeze for someone comfortable with the language.

As a general tip for any language examination, it's always a great idea to emote more with your eyes, hands etc.

With my updated Ielts score, my CRS is now 476.

1- Can I expect ITA in Sep 02 draw if all draws happen?
2- I will have time till Oct 10, 20 to submit my application because my spouse Ielts will expire on Oct 11, 20. So can I update my spouse Ielts after getting ITA ?
3- I need to do upfront medical exam obviously, so can I take medical appointment in advance between Sep 03 to Sep 10?

1- Very likely. Keep your fingers crossed.
2 & 3- You can start preparing the needed documents now including getting the medical checkup done. As I understand, you don't need an ITA to make an upfront medical checkup. So make a phone call and book for an appointment.
You can start contacting the bank for the proof of funds as well.
Regarding obtaining the PCC, it depends on the country and your status. For me, I am in Singapore on Work permit, I could not request the police to issue when I had my ITA. Still, the process was swift.

But for upfront medical exam, don't they need Copy of ITA too on which application number is mentioned so they add accordingly in my ee profile, isn't that make sense?

Actually, even with ITA, the medical checkup is also considered upfront because we do it before IRCC requests us to do.
I had mine last month and I did not even bring my ITA to the panel clinic. You will need to upload the eMedical form when you submit your application, and IRCC officers will do the link up.

Unfortunately not! Still waiting for Cape Town, South Africa, to reopen. The website still says, "closed until further notice", so I have no idea when it might be, I hope sometime soon.
Judging from recent trends, they should open any moment from now. Hang in there mate. I learnt it won't delay the progress of your application though.
