Hi All,

1.I am currently in Toronto area. My company is in Quebec and paying taxes there.. am I eligible to sponsor my parents showing one year income in Quebec or should I be residing physically in Quebec.

2. Quebec family sponsorship is lottry based? I just see links to forms to fill out on their website.

Others can comment/correct given Quebec is unique

1)thought a requirement to sponsor for Quebec requires someone to be actually living in / resident in Quebec not Toronto. See this link

http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv....reunification/requirements-sponsor/index.html

2)there is as I understand a single IRCC ’lottery’ for parents/ grandparents and if invited then apply for Quebec assuming meet the Quebec specific residency requirements. Seems Unlikely to be program this year nobody knows when or if one will be announced

1. No, you are not eligible. Yes, you must be physically living in Quebec.
2. There is no separate Quebec program. Everyone goes through the Federal program which is currently closed. When the program reopens, we don't know if they will conduct it as a lottery or first in first out. However the number of applications accepted will certainly be limited.

You will also need to remain in Quebec for the duration of the application as well. There will be changes to the application so until the changes are released nothing is guaranteed.
