And yes, I hope & wish they give grad & PhD students a priority & that this really happens as soon as possible, so that we can be relieved of all this unnecessary stress and get on with our work & lives!

Oh man that's incredibly sad. A pandemic reveals the facile nature of everything around us - rules, regulations, institutions, government departments. I wish it hadn't gone to this low though. Education and learning deserve a standard to be met - not like this.
Why aren't IRCC & CBSA taking note of what these colleges are doing? Why aren't they taking any action?
I doubt they know. When the public institutions in question are sending students these letters, then I guess they take their word for it
Again, that's really sad and unfortunate.
But how I wish they get to know about all this!
In a pandemic situation like this, with things rapidly changing everyday and so much uncertainty, it doesn't help at all if the CBSA officer just merely looks at a letter, and allows entry right-away. They also need to VERIFY the truth of the contents.
Hope they fix this lapse ASAP.

Some guy out of over 100,000 new students is hardly statistically noteworthy, not even a hundred such accounts. If you found even 10 such accounts would you mind linking to such circumstantial evidence?
Well then name and shame them to be exposed, I am absolutely certain that CSBA and CIC is roaming these forums.
They actually do in many cases. Many border agents go to the actual course websites and verify whether the courses are taught online or in person. Any DLI which even alters and misrepresents its delivery methods on their own websites should have their license revoked.

The current scenario with colleges doing whatever they're doing really needs to stop for everyone's good. If the border agents are visiting the course/institution website, then, they should continue doing that consistently and really follow-up on this issue of fake letters of support.
However, I have to admit that these letters are worded very well & seem convincing too. The unsuspecting will easily give in. But they are fake/false nevertheless. Saw a student post such a letter as a reply to one of IRCC's official handle tweets. What's happening with this world ?
