Congratulations Omar, it’s the great dream coming true. Wish we will be invited for our testsGoodluck you should receive it any day.
I got my oath too. They are asking for two ids. My drivers licenae and health card expired in April. Can i still use them?Hello Everyone ,
Took My oath of citizenship couple of hours ago .. Process took a total of 30 mins.
There were 10 applicants including myself for the ceremony . During the Zoom call each one of us had an officer(who would verify your information and IDs) along with a Clerk and the judge.
After you take the oath you have to cut PR card in 4 pieces in front of your officer. Once all the formalities are done you have to email the officer signed Affirmation of Oath form .
Note: you will receive a phone call a day before the ceremony
ECAS still shows DM. Hope other August applicants have their oath soon.
my family had same statusHi Folks,
For guys those who are done with Oath or got the invite, anything updated in the status for you?
I have below and the status is Decision Made since Feb 10th.
Citizenship
- We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on August 14, 2019.
- We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on October 31, 2019.
- We started processing your application on November 29, 2019.
- We sent you a notice on January 24, 2020 to appear and write the citizenship test on February 7, 2020 at 8:16 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
You can use them.I got my oath too. They are asking for two ids. My drivers licenae and health card expired in April. Can i still use them?
Hey!So I am seeing a lot of August 2019 applicants who are waiting for an oath invite. Are there any who are still waiting on a test invite? If so, have you heard from IRCC at all about a timeframe or what to expect? I have not reached out to them yet as my case isn't ''urgent'' per se. My PR doesn't expire until 2022, only my passport expires in May 2021. Nevertheless, I would very much like an update...I'm not sure which office is handling my case, but I applied from KW in Ontario.
Here is my timeline:
Side note: I applied in French as it is my first language. I was thinking that maybe applying in French could slow down the process even more?
- We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on August 6, 2019.
- We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on November 8, 2019.
- We started processing your application on December 20, 2019.
Any August applicants who haven’t got a test invite yet?
It’s going to be a year now since I sent in my application and I still haven’t received a test invite while most of the August Applicants have already gone past the Oath ceremony!
It’s so frustrating. My passport expires early next year and I don’t know if I should apply for a new passport or hold off...
Same here....it’s going to be a long wait....In the same boat. Waiting for test invite

Questions:
1. Does that mean my virtual oath is scheduled for Jan 1, 2021?
2. Is that virtual or in-person? It’s only 20 mins, so I’m guessing virtual?
3. Why is sub-type "Other" and for test it was initial?
4. Is it so late because I told the officer at interview that I'll be travelling from Feb 13-29th, 2020 and they pushed me back? :/
Thanks,
Zam
Thank you. Based on July apps I think mine should come end of Aug. Let’s see if my calculation is correct.Opinion in the below thread.

Positive points:
Final: Granted
Oath: In Progress
Office: Scarborough Citizenship Operations
Location: C6 Ceremony Ready
So a bit more of waiting for you unlike others who have no clue about their citizenship test...
Interestingly, I just got my ATIP note as well like 30 mins ago. And this morning also, I did my oath ceremony. So, now I am trying to compare your ATIP note with mine to clarify what you have.Hi guys, so I received my ATIP notes yesterday and found something interesting on Page 22:

Interesting. Also, another important field is under Facility: yours says Virtual Ceremony whereas mine was Scarborough so I’m guessing it was just kept as Jan 1, 2021 for a future date. I think it’ll change once they have scheduled me as well.Interestingly, I just got my ATIP note as well like 30 mins ago. And this morning also, I did my oath ceremony. So, now I am trying to compare your ATIP note with mine to clarify what you have.
This what I have in my EVENT 1 section:
-Sub Type: Closed public
- Status: Scheduled
- Start Date/Time: 2020/08/17 12:15:00 (which coincides with today which is my oath ceremony)
- Duration: 20
- End Date/Time: 2020/08/17 12:55:00
- Event Office: Edmonton IRCC
- Event Jurisdiction: Edmonton
-Facility: Virtual Ceremony
- Language: English
- Capacity: 100
So based on this, I will assume maybe you have been tentatively scheduled for 1st of January, 2020. However, since this does not appear realistic being a statutory holiday, I will hope this will be updated soon to another date since in yours it was written "in progress" for the status and mine it is showing "scheduled".
