• are exempt from the travel restrictions and
• can travel to Canada with your CoPR to settle and live in Canada as a permanent resident

Can anybody tell me if this still applies?

Status changed to decision made on March 16/20
And nothing since then

On March the 16th when our status changed to decision made we also received the pre-arrival letter by email. So as far as I can tell we are just waiting for the passport request now for more then 4 months...

I did read that yesterday posted by someone and I reminded my husband to check all his folders. I just thought the wait was a long time because we got our last email and the Canadian border shut down that same night at midnight. And the VAC centers in Jamaica were both closed until a few weeks back. So now I’m hopeful we will finally here something now.

Well Covid-19 did put a pause on the proceedings. They recently started sending out passport requests. Hopefully you will hear something soon. Have you checked ECAS?

Yes...because of that we are hopeful and pray everyday we hear something. I am an essential worker here in Canada and it’s been a long flu season last fall then right into COVID during spring. I was suppose to visit my husband at the beginning of April but borders shut and I couldn’t go. I haven’t seen him for 10 months now. An out application has been going for 15 months now...just dragging along

I check the status online everyday but nothing has been updated since they said a letter was send out in Feb/20. That letter was the interview request that was done in March. Nothing new updated there except that the status was decision made. Not even a mention of the pre-arrival email but we did get that the same day it updated to decision made. We have never been able to get the GC Key feature to work, it always said something was not right even though I have all the immigration papers with the info on it. My husband tried also and could not get it to go.
