I don’t understand the having to be patient aspect of things considering that some of our applications have been overdue pre-Covid. Even so, there are people that still get their applications finalized in these current conditions. Is there anything we can do about it?
Surely there must be something that can be done other than speaking to your local mp. My sanity has been completely drained. For those of you who are religious, please keep us in your prayers. I need the slightest bit of hope because I’m drenched in hopelessness :(
Stay strong. I guess our options are limited! One day, this gruesome journey will end. Sending hope your way.

Yes ive called a couple times.

they say the same thing. “Your application has been received, it hasn’t started processing yet, nothing seems wrong etc”. Ive just never heard of someone getting a receiving acknowledgement and 8 months later still not having the “application has begun processing”

i will call again and ask directly if my file is incomplete. I applied with a social work immigration agency so I don’t See why there would be a mistake
l am having same issue, I submitted in October, 2019, received AOR in December, up till now l cannot check status or link my application. i have called as well and was told same as you were told. just confused somehow.

Have you followed the instructions on IRCC website on how to submit an application if you deem it URGENT

Valid urgent travel reasons include if you’re travelling

  • for a medical reason because you have a serious illness
  • because of the serious illness or death of someone you have a relationship with
  • because you’ll have financial problems from the loss of a job or business
  • to support an essential service
  • for humanitarian reasons
    • You need a letter from your organization that lists the humanitarian reasons.

Good Luck
Yes I did it 4 times but no answer

The CS line won’t be able to tell your file is incomplete or else they would have told you already. This is due to covid. Unfortunately you’ll just have to be patient.
Really? That makes sense then.

regarding covid I got the receiving acknowledgment in December. A good 3-4 months covid started and still no “file has begun processing”. I guess we’ll see

Hi Guys @jack_2001 @Emil7
Today I got the GCMS notes from CBSA.
it is 91 pages. At the beginning it says some of the information can not be sent to me including:
19(1)(a) Obtained in confidence from a foreign state
21 International affairs and/or defence of Canada or its allies
22(1)(b) Investigative techniques or plans for specific lawful
investigations
26 Personal information of another individual

Then they attached a PDF very similar to CIC GCMS but that hidden page of security is not hidden in this version.
This page says:
Security:1
Created: (Jan 2019 same day as AOR)
Updated: end of July 2019
Status: blank
Due date: One year after AOR (Jan 2020)
Sub activities: 1
created: middle of March 2019
Updated: end of July 2019
Type: Security Screening
Status: Canceled

Also at the end of the file, they attached a scan of the Schedule A and Additional family information form.
A scan of police certificates I sent them but they only showed mines and hid my wife info or even name :)

Other things are the same:
Eligibility not started.
Criminality in progress.
Medical Passed-Expired
Location PP-Ready for landing.

Hello Guys,

Do you know how long the criminality to finish.
For me
Medical extended and pass since Feb. 15, 2020
Eligibility: Pass since April 23, 2020
Security: Pass since June 22, 2020
Criminality: In process (They received my fingerprint since Feb. 2019) In the notes I ordered in May 20, 2020 says that RMPC: No Reportable Trace and in April 23, 2020 the officer requested CIPC. Next day it was written that according to CIPC: No criminal record.
was does this mean?
when I call the IRCC the agent said that they need to finalize your file as every thing related to the criminality is provided
Actually I am so frustrated
by the way I am May 8, 2018
anybody have an experience or knows what is happening to my file and what are they waiting for to finalize my application?
your feedback is highly appreciated

So basically there's nothing there to suggest the wait time will be longer, shorter or even normal. It's pretty much the same information they share on the online cic account. Which is just disappointing.

Jalal, I know how difficult it much be for you, I also have someone waiting for me. All we can do is wait. Going through this notes again and again, just gives us more stress and no true insight.

Waiting to finalize means, after officer view your file, will forward to Queued for Decision. call IRCC ask officer's last note and date.

better ask IRCC via telephone your file last update(officer's note & date). ATIP is not useful for file which in last state
