You should not book a place AirBnB or other wise without you telling them why you are booking it, to do so is very irresponsible, some owners are ok with it. Most are not. It took me talking to many owners to get a place to self isolate. Correct, get a place that doesn't have a shared house with another tenant in the basement etc.
Do not take the self isolate rules lightly and do not try to go around the laws that are in place, if you won't do them then don't come to Canada. Why would you want to risk infecting people here.
It is fine to have another tenant in a separate apartment in fhe home or building. As long as there are no shared facilities there isn’t a problem. Everyome coming in from outside Canada has to quarantine so not sure if you have to be so upfront with the purpose of your stay but a host may be helpful if they know you are quarantining. Given the reduced tourism there must be Airbnbs available. You’ll need more than 14 days because you still need to rent something. You can find a shared airbnb if you want to save money after the 14 days. I would always recommend seeing a place before renting but you can make viewing appointments while in quarantine. You can ask if a Skype tour is possible to narrow down your options so you’re not wasting your time. Finding something that is on a good public transportation line is important. In General I would try to remain flexible until you have secured a good job. Maybe you can find a short term rental or sublet. I always tell newer graduates and people who are new to Canada to apply throughout Canada when looking for a job. Your best opportunities may not be in the city you currently live in. The competition is very high in places like Toronto so you may get better offers in a smaller or mid-sized city. For example you May not want to live in the Yukon but if you can get a job in your profession you should consider it.
Thanks for the info yes renting an independent place is an expansive option because I would need it at least for a month in order to look for a permanent place also they are only available for the long term, I do not want to violate quarantine rules but in general house owners are not comfortable in accommodating for quarantine
I am assuming your spouse isn't in Canada? You might have to resort to renting a hotel room if nothing else works. When are you planning on traveling to Canada.
You can rent out your own unit like a studio or hotel room for 14/15 days and then switch RO a shared rental of some sort. There is a lot of availability currently so you can always ask if a better rate may be possible.

Please advise, I am planning to travel to Morden city in Manitoba, but first I have to fly to Toronto airport and then to Winnipeg and from Winnipeg using a taxi, I will be heading to Morden.i have a Quarantine plan in place.
Kindly give me your experience on that. Is that would be acceptable to CBSA?

That should be fine, have the address where you will be staying and a contact number to give them if they ask. While we were in quarantine they called us twice to check up on us to see if we were ok.

last but not least, I have personal effects items along with me which were earlier stamped by the CBSA, I will be allowed to clear them with the Canada Customs before I land my flight to Winnipeg?

My wife and I are in the same boat as you guys - we’re also returning to Canada, elderly parents at home etc. - , but what you could do is isolate in a place within your home (i.e. the basement for example) and just have them bring meals down.
You always clear customs and immigration at the first POE into Canada which assume will not be Winnipeg if travelling internationally from anywhere other than from the US. If transiting just make sure enough time between flights given although not that many travelling due to COVID the same principle could be applied to staffing of immigration/customs
You may not be able to do this with elderly people still in the home. Depends on the agent.

Most AirBnBs I have come across that fit within my budget are basements. Since the basement is a separate unit and there won't be any dealings with the people living upstairs, would that qualify as a proper quarantine facility? of course, the basement facilities such as laundry should also be ensuite.
