Why do you want to update it so quick in this critical situation?
I do not think they are sending anything by mail
Do not know
You are right they communicate with me through my account, i will probably keep the same address and check it from time to time

So my question is when they email for passport request, do we have to mail it? And how do we pick it back up ? How safe is the mailing system there? So worried if the passport gets lost...

As they mentioned in the website the passport should go via mail not in person and about how they are going to return back still i do not know how. But I believe they will inform you about that in the letter when they send it.

Hopefully who has the letter and want to mail the passport tell us how this work.

- Passport Request

Date: 2020-03-11

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order to complete the processing of your application, your passport and the documents listed below are required. Please read and carefully follow all the instructions in this letter.

You need to submit all passports and documents in one package, with a copy of this letter, within 30 days. Failure to provide the requested documents within this timeframe may result in the refusal or cancellation of your application. If you are unable to meet the deadline of this letter, please send an email explaining your circumstances to us at amman.immigration@international.gc.ca

VISA VALIDITY:

Subject to a final review of your file and passport, the permanent resident visa you may be issued will expire at the same time as your medical examination or your passport – whichever date comes first. Please ensure that your passport is valid for at least 12 months.

You and all your accompanying dependents must travel to Canada and present your immigration documents at a Canadian Port of Entry before they expire. The validity of the visas cannot be extended.

Documents to submit:

1 Original signed valid passport for yourself and each accompanying dependent:

• Each person, including minor children, must have their own passport with at least two blank pages in each passport.

• Civil passports are the only type of passport into which a permanent resident visa may be inserted. Diplomatic, official, and other special passports are not accepted for this purpose.

• Any passport changes after visas are issued will result in a charge of CAD $30.00 for each visa.

• Passports that are not signed by the holder are not valid for travel.

Please note that the name indicated on your passport will be the name that appears on all of your documents after you become a Permanent Resident of Canada (e.g. driver’s license, social insurance card, health card…etc.)

2 Two (2) recent photographs for yourself and each accompanying dependent:

• The photos must be 50 mm x 70 mm with a white background. Exact photo specifications are provided at the end of this letter and are available here: www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/5445EB-e.pdf

• The two photos must show a full front view of the person’s head and shoulders, showing their full face centred in the middle of the photograph. Do not smile.

• Write your file number and the name of each person on the back of their photos. Do not use a ball-point pen. Wait until the ink dries before stacking the photos on top of each other.

• The photos must not be damaged or blemished. Do not staple, glue or pin the photos. Instead, they can be paper-clipped or enclosed in a small envelope.

3 Please complete the information requested on the “Updated Information Chart” below.

4 If you need to inform us of a new baby born to a Canadian citizen, you must submit proof that the child is a Canadian citizen. If you have not yet received proof of citizenship, you must immediately inform the Consular Section of the Canadian Embassy in Amman of the birth of the child and the fact that you intend to travel with the child soon.

CHANGE IN FAMILY COMPOSITION:

You must notify our «Addressee_Telephone_Num» office in writing if there are/will be changes in your life circumstances before visa issuance, such as:

• Family status (e.g. marriage or common-law relationship, divorce, annulment, legal separation, birth, adoption, death of the sponsor, principal applicant or any accompanying family member); or

• You or any of your family members being charged or convicted of a criminal offence
Failure to inform us of any of these changes may delay processing, result in the cancellation of your immigrant visas, or render you and your family members inadmissible to Canada. Failure to inform us of dependent family members during the processing of your application will permanently exclude them from being sponsored in the Family Class from Canada.

From what i understand they told you to go and submitted the passport in person. I would go in person to your nearest visa office and talk to them they will probably consider taking it without mailing it while you are there and also they will tell you Which way u prefer to have your passport back. They won’t say or do anything if you want there in person.

I talked to them today as well and they sent me the Steps and now i am trying to figure out how to pay the payment they are asking for because they say it has to be made in cash in jordan so now they gave me the choice of including it in the package as long as they get it in cash and i have to ask the courier companies if something like that would be possible
