If the case already shows in process does that mean the case is now pending with local reps, if that is the case BC cases should start getting processed early for In process applications considering that the number of cases in BC is relatively less compared to rest of canada

A query, my PR is up for renewal next year however due to the delays in citizenship processing I am not sure if i would get my citizenship granted before the PR card expires. PR renewal is about 287-299 days. Just wondering if any of you in the same boat and have applied for renewal. Any tips would be helpful!

Thanks all.

Hi everyone
I have a question if anyone had similar issue or know anything about it. I applied for citizenship on june 14 through my representative. I was just going through the copy she send me and i found out that she made a spelling mistake in the city/town of birth . What should i do about it ? Do i just wait or is it going to be returned for that spelling mistake? If anyone know anything please reply
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Yes, same as me. Someone told me that you should renew your PR card if you will travel outside Canada.
Before the covid I told with someone from the immigration office because for example in my case I am from Venezuela, and my passport will expire and it's very hard and expensive renew it, so Canada's government allows to travel with my expired Venezuelan passport, only if I have a valid PR card that had no expired.

In conclusion, If you have plans to travel outside Canada may you will need a valid PR card, they recommend me to wait until my citizenship process finishes.
Because it's more expenses and if you really think about it, nobody guarantees that the PR process will end first than that of the citizenship with all the covid problem, because they will surely give priority to ongoing processes

May I ask if you got a new email for processing?
Not OP, but for me there was no separate email indicating it was now in process. Just have to keep checking the application status online. It didn't take long, though, like maybe a week and a half from AOR.
