COPR Extension request - Approval : New Documents

I was issue COPR before March 2020, with validity of June 2020, I could not travel hence requested and extension.
I raised a request that now I am able to travel. the response was below ask,
has any one responded to below ask with out a job offer/employment in Canada, if yes what was the answer received or if any other documents were asked.
please share your experience.

Your plans to live and settle in Canada upon arrival

· documents to support your living situation in Canada (i.e. address, lease agreement, 
home ownership document)

· employment plans in Canada, (i.e. location of work, letter from employer)

· any other relevant information.

How you plan to quarantine for 14 days when you arrive in Canada, including how you will have access to groceries, get medical care, and other essential services. While in quarantine, you will not be able to leave your place of quarantine for any reason. This is mandatory even if you have no COVID-19 symptoms.

They have realized that many are not following the rules and are doing soft landings. CIC has now started asking more questions to make sure people are moving to Canada because many international flights have been arriving with somone with covid on them which could infect other patients, flight, airport staff or taxi/uber staff. There is no risk of taking the chance of bringing someone with covid into Canada unless they are going to remain permanently.

A lot of US folks have been either returning from land border after completing landing or after 2 weeks quarantine. Based on the recent updates on IRCC site, they seem to be discouraging such travels and are asking documented steps on how you plan to settle. I think a month long short term rental with the intention of looking around for apartments may suffice along with flight itinerary in case you are flying. As far as the groceries goes, if you know someone you could say they will drop it at the door or use online delivery services and take some items with you.

short landing , I will drive from US. I am unsure how do I book airbnb etc when I do not know when will they allow me to travel , or how much time it will take for them to re-issue a visa ,
for employment etc again if I do not have PR status , My organization is not ready to transfer to Canada..so its a tricky situation.

I am also concerned about those questions about employment too . If you are still employed by your current employer, would they hold that against you? As in, will they say that since you are still employed in the US, you are not planning to settle in Canada?

And if you want to transfer your current job to Canada, I would imagine most companies would want you to be a confirmed PR first right?

Is there anyone here whose COPR is expiring in August but do not have plans to travel now ? I wish to know what steps you are planning on taking after the COPR expires.

I'm still hesitating about traveling. My only direct flight was canceled and I have animals to transport. At this point, IRCC is only issuing extensions when you are ready to permanently settle in Canada. If you don't plan to do so right now, you should wait till there are new guidelines or relief of travel restrictions.

Thanks for letting me know. Same with me - We will be travelling with our pet from the US. In our case, we will be travelling to settle permanently. However, folks from the US are allowed to travel. Hence, I was wondering if they will issue an extension to me or not. Because they said to not contact them until we are ready to travel, I am unsure about what to do - especially because once I am ready to travel, will they ask me to get the medicals, police clearance once again ( which could take some time) ?

They can technically hold that against you but then again how can they expect you to give up your livelihood during a raging pandemic and economic recession. If I'm getting questioned on that I'd answer honestly that I don't plan to quit my job until there is an alternative and that I'm seeking options to transfer my job to Canada if a Canadian job isn't immediately available (and that I will also be looking for certain jobs in certain industries once I become PR).

Yes, that makes sense and is what I think I will do if god forbid they start asking these questions. Although so far I haven't seen anyone mention getting questioned about employment. It is lunacy to expect someone to quit their job in these situations without alternatives set in stone.

• their application was approved
• they received their COPR and PRV and
• they have an acceptable plan to quarantine for 14 days in Canada

Only permanent resident applicants who are in possession of an expired COPR and PRV and who are ready to travel to Canada should contact IRCC using the Web form, to provide information on when the COPR expired and the non-discretionary reason(s) for travelling. Once Web forms are received, the Client Support Centre will refer them to the appropriate processing network (CN or IN), which will assess them based on the eligibility criteria below.

These applicants can come to Canada and become a permanent resident now if they plan to stay and settle. If they’re planning on coming temporarily and leaving again, they can’t do that right now unless they’re exempt from the restrictions. They must show

Has anyone from India requested for COPR extension and filled a web form recently after the Vande Bharat mission commencement? I just read that flights are starting from Aug 3 from Ind to Canada but I am not sure of its availability as the normal international travel ban has been extended till Aug 31. Anyone in the same state and clearer mind than mine?
