Hi all,
I just thought it may be a good idea to have a thread for all to post updates given the recent announcement from IRCC regarding two step approval for study permits.

Personally:
Study permit application submitted for September 2020 intake in April 2020
Biometrics complete.
Full application - still awaiting update.

Hi, not sure what you mean, but I don't have requirements for anything other than the completed application so far!

No biometrics, no medical. VFS closed since March.
Eligibility and background check started, no idea when.
Ironically the last update I received was that they were "reviewing the results from my medical exam", but I never sent one.
Idk. I have a month...

Edit: Just received the request for medical :I I guess that's good, but I'm not sure how/if that affects the approval in principle.

- 2nd July got an upfront medical examination done (in case they ask)
- 21st July Biometrics done.
- 22nd July Eligibility review starting

I applied from India and couldn't submit my biometrics because of VACs closure. I don't need to do medicals since I am a returning student. My previous permit got expired a week ago. I am surprised that my eligibility review hasn't been started yet even though I applied back in April. Anyone applied from India whose eligibility review has already been started?
