I guess it all depends on the attitude of your rep. I’ve seen on a number if threads that some refuse with information and act like they’re the be all and end all of the immigration process. Whether you have a rep or not there’s just some information you should have , it’s your personal information at the end of the day and you have every right to it. Some reps advise that don’t contact IRCC cz it can negatively affect your application etc etc. I would ask them to raise a web form For you or ask them for your application details, application #, UCI# login ID, password etc. I used a rep and they cost me a delay Bcz they forgot to upload my sons birth certificate and resulted in our application getting rejected and we had to reapply. I could be in Canada by now if it wasn’t for that silly error (lol I laugh about it now but I was beyond livid at the time) . But on a serious note they should be transparent enough to give you that information, you know your rep, be tactful about it. Is this a IRCac registered immigration rep? Or one of those that say their a rep but they’re not registered?
