Study Permit Expired! Should I apply for Restoration Or Not?

Greetings,

I am a student at Kamloops, BC. I came to here to study bachelors' degree but got a visa for 2 years because my passport was expiring in 2 years at the start of my program. It expired on May 18th, so I have until Aug 18th to get it restored or leave the country.
My university put me on a one-year suspension, meaning I cant enrol myself in any program until Summers 2021, meaning I cannot apply for a restoration because my university is not giving me the supporting document because of low grades.
Now I have two options, I can either have myself enrolled in another university and apply for a restoration based on the other university enrolment letter and do like an 8- month course and come back to my main degree at the same university when the suspension time is over. The second option is to go back home before I receive a letter of removal from Canada and not apply for a restoration of status or Visa in this period. Instead if I just go back home to Pakistan and re-apply for a new study permit when the suspension period is over, Show them good grades and improvement the next time i continue studying. I have few reasons to why I could not get good grades in these 2 years, also I have proof that backs the reasons of low academic grades and I also have made a plan that shows how I will tackle this issue in the future and get even better grades.
What do you advise me to do here?
  1. Get an enrolment letter from a different university and apply for a restoration and wait for the decision. (Considering I will go back to the same uni that I am suspended from at the end of year)
  2. Go back home asap and apply for a new permit in summers 2021
Now, If I choose option number 2, Is it guaranteed that if I put all the valid proven reasons, and all other documents, Will I get another study permit approval. If yes, then will I be eligible for PGWP because I put one year break in my studies because i lost the status? If not, please tell me.
And, If I choose option number 1, how would that be beneficial, because i have been looking at a few forums here and students who apply for restoration usually get the decision between 5 - 7 months and for those months I cannot work or study, however i'll have to stay in Canada on implied status. I might not be able to study the that course because it starts August 25th and I am sure that I will not get a decision until then.

Please this is a huge matter, a little consideration and help will go a long way. I will always be grateful.

No guarantee you would get another study permit, you are unlikely to get PGWP after a year break. Don't know why you would do the other option, seems like same thing with extra steps. Might be better to consider starting over with another program.

Hi sir, so should I apply for another course/program and pursue that and forget about the studies i have done till now?
Will that make me eligible for pgwp?

Can anyone please advise me on this matter? I am in deep waters here, it's really a matter of life and death. My dad is quite strict so I still haven't shared this unfortunate news with him, but my mom is really understanding and is willing to help me out even if I have to get admission somewhere else. Can anyone please guide me whether I should change provinces because there are some colleges and universities outside BC still taking students. What if I get myself enrolled in some other university and take an enrollment letter and attach it with my study permit restoration application. Then start pursuing studies at the other institution, Is this a good move to make?

Any sort of advise would go a long way and I will always be grateful.

Don't think you will get a PGWP by your current college under any circumstances. If your intention is PGWP, you could either:
1. Go back home and apply for another study permit - might get rejected
2. Apply for restoration for current program, then apply for extension of current study permit. Then switch DLIs.
3. Get admission to another program quickly, apply for restoration, apply for study permit extension, switch DLIs

I would advise consulting a lawyer to help you in this regard

Hello,

I hope this message finds you in good health. I have been in Canada not studying since April. I have been out of my status and have been planning to apply for a study permit restoration but from a different university I just got admission in in Quebec. I was currently studying in BC, from which university I was asked to withdraw for a year because of low grades. Now I have until Dec 31st to apply for the Study Permit Restoration. I have already received the CAQ and am preparing my file to send to CIC for review.

The only thing I currently do not have is the Transcript of the university I initially came to. Do I need to apply for a study permit restoration without giving them the recent Canadian University (withdrawn) transcript which is full of Ds and Fs. :\

Also I have my English Ielts exam reports from 3 years ago. I am still in Canada and have not been studying or working ever since my study permit expired. I had a band of 7 overall and met all the requirements. Do I need to give an updated IElts along with my application. I do not have my Ielts and will not be able to receive it by December 31st.

Please tell me about the transcript from this university? Do I need to provide them official transcript or is it just optional because I am a bachelors student and I will be studying in another field of study and will be starting over again.

Your reply would be appreciated. Thank you.

would you suggest me to go back to my home country and apply for a new study permit at the same university and continue my studies here at the same university? Can I do that? Can I apply for a new study permit as soon as my withdrawal period is over and want to continue at the same university in BC.

Also I now this is a far shot, but does the withdrawal from university affect on my PGWP? If yes, then what would be better for me because I can certainly afford to start over and study hard this time at the new institution?

Please I am very confused. Please help me out.
