What format should the letters friends/family write be in? (e.g. printed emails, handwritten notes...)

We're currently preparing our application (common law) and are wondering if the letters by friends/ family should be in a particular format?
Are emails okay, or is handwritten better?
Should they be signed?

There is no formal format for the letters, typed or handwritten both should be fine with their signature if possible

Agree, I think the most important things to add in the letters are the full names and contact info of the person writing it, and their signature, and as long as the letters are in English or French you should be fine

My husband and I had a combination of both typed and written letters but all were signed by hand. We had no problems.
