Hi everyone,

need help with one of the options discussed in this forum - contacting MP office to know status of application. Anyone of you could explain me in detail about this, it would be very helpful for me

what is MP office - member of parliament , which is central minister office ?
how to approach ? what documents needed ? will they know the process or they will ask us in return to help ? do we need to pay for this.
If there is any link please share or explain .

Its quite easy and fast method to track application. You just need to go to your local area MP's office and tell them that you need update on your file. They are familiar with the procedure. Just take a copy of any letter that was sent to you which has file number, name, address etc. I took the one in which I was notified about file transfer to NDVO. In normal scenario they will reply within a couple of days... but situation is not the same now due to Covid... so the response might be delayed... no idea about this

Hi , you will have a little more detail with your mp but ordering your gcms note is still the best way to know if there is something wrong with your files or to know exactly where they are at with the process.

You are still in the normal processing time so at this stage you will have a little more info with mp but I dont know if its gonna make move things for you.

In our case we did both notes + mp. Mp is very helpfull and our case move every time he send something but we have largely exceeded the normal processing time ( 27 month, almost 28 )

Has anyone taken the recent Lufthansa repatriation flights from India with just COPR?

It appears they are allowing Indian nationals on the flight that have "Permanent residence status" and whose spouses are Canadian nationals. I'm worried that they will deny boarding because COPR is not technically permanent residence.
