I actually asked about that to the health official. He said in such circumstance one should get a Covid testing done and have an approved health official(not family doctor) give a letter stating that I do not carry any symptoms of covid-19 and I'm free to travel. I need to carry that along with the covid-19 test report to the airport. The decision to board me or not still entirely depends on the aircraft.
You need to go through the guidelines issued for Containment Zone. You need to show this CoVID19 testing result while leaving the Containment zone. CoVID19 testing result is required for Boarding the flight only when you were denied boarding previously due to CoVID19 alike symptoms.

To summarize when to raise the ability to travel webform:

1) Ensure the designated clinics are taking appointments for medicals
2) VAC offices are opened
3) Able to book flight tickets

There are high chances that VO might ask for re-medicals as process is evolving based on the situation. Good thing is that they are not asking for PCC again based on latest reopened file in this thread.

@CanV - thank you. Is it confirmed ? "Visas and COPRs are being extended by 3-6 months granted you passed with M1 or M3" - do they auto extend medicals alone OR they extend PRV and COPR as well?
Extending the validity of medical means PRV and COPR will be extended as well, but you still have to send passports to get a new visa and COPR.

I still don't understand though why some people are being asked to redo medicals. The instructions given to visa offices 2 months ago were to extend medicals for M1 and M3. And when I say instructions I am not referring to the public website where the info was posted. I haven't checked to see if that info was removed from there. Regardless I am referring to the instructions given to visa offices.

Hi all
Thought I'd share my landing experience here in case it helps anyone with their queries. I was a temporary resident in Melbourne, Australia and traveled from there to Montreal with Qatar Airways transiting via Doha roughly 10 days ago. Had a separate booking with Air Canada for Montreal to Vancouver with three hours layover in Montreal. Had no issues getting on board in Melbourne and Doha and landed in Montreal alright. The immigration/landing process at the Montreal airport was slower than I expected and for some reason, people landing with COPRs were called after everyone else. That gave me a massive scare as I had a connecting flight. I told the same to the admin officer there but he didn't allow me to jump ahead and asked me to wait. The immigration officer was quite alright and asked for the basic details without demanding any proofs and I spent roughly 5 min at the counter. After that, I collected my checked-in bags (two of the last ones on the belt) and ran to the Air Canada check-in counter. With Air Canada, you can opt for the lowest fare when you book and pay for the baggage on the airport at a decent rate ($90 CAD for two bags 23kg - It's the same if you book when doing a web check-in). Had no issues at Vancouver airport as I collected my bags and walked straight out without even needing to interact with anyone as I was arriving on a domestic flight. Free wifi at all three airports helped a lot. Booked an Uber to my Airbnb and am now waiting for the self-isolation to end so that I can get on with the process of opening a bank account, getting a SIN (needs address proof to apply online) and looking for new place to stay. Also, for those arriving in Vancouver (only), there's a decent Indian food meal delivery service (https://www.yogiskitchen.ca/) that'll get you through the isolation period and if you wish to opt for it, let me know as I can get you a referral discount when you sign up.
No thermal screening for the Qatar Airways flights for me but there was a temperature check before boarding Air Canada flight. I had explored a scenario where if I miss my connecting flight, would I be able to stay overnight in Montreal? The answer that I got before my travel from an officer at Public Health Agency Canada was that yes I can, but I might have to book a room in a hotel (I don't think that would have been the case though as things were quite normal at the airport with travelers everywhere around the gates). Fortunately, that didn't occur but I wrote it here as it might assure people who might want to transit through Montreal but are afraid to do so.
Thanks to all the members for helping me through the process and all the best!

PS - I am looking for work in software development so if you know anyone who might be able to help, please send me a message. Cheers!
Hi CR1010, congratulations on making a successful landing. Could you please assist in getting a place to quarantine in Vancouver. Would be landing on 1st July. Drop me an email at dpschauhan8@gmail.com . Thanks

@CanV Ok, Thank you. However, my question was if medical for M1, M3 is auto-extended, then, do they need security & criminality clearance as well? Is there anything instructed on that line as such.

This all depends upon reviewing officer. Once your application is reopened then you may or may not be asked for medicals. Regarding PCC we are not sure if officer might ask for it or not. So far all the reopened applications in this thread are not asked for new PCC. It's your VO who will be making this decision, IRCC has posted the guidelines for extension as a courtesy. We were living under impression that medicals will be extended but lately they asked to redo the medicals to one of applicant. Few days ago, one applicant got her medicals auto extended. So this process is evolving and you should not completely rely on information which seems favourable to you unless it is coming from official channel.

Just an open question, although I am not a smoker but If a person smokes and has medicals in M1 category then would that person requires to redo the medicals in this virus situation? I guess from medical reports they can know if person is a smoker or not.

Requiring renewed police clearance is highly unlikely at this point as most applicants haven't traveled in the past 3 months. While they may request new clearances from your current residence country, it makes no sense to require clearances from all other countries when you have already provided them as part of your application.

Thanks for sharing. I plan to travel in August although my initial stop was Toronto but when they said we have to self isolate for 14days, I decided to go to my sisters apartment in Edmonton since she has a Basement where i can self isolate. So I intend taking a connecting flight to Edmonton when i arrive Toronto. My fear is what if immigration clearance delays me and i miss my connecting flight. Please I want to know how many hours your clearance took and how many hours apart did you calculate from landing Montreal to boarding your connecting flight to Vancouver. Thank you
I had a three hour layover and had a separate booking so had to check-in the bags again. I'd recommend go for at least 3.5 to 4 hours in between flights if you can. Anything less involves a risk of you not making the connecting flight if things goes wrong like your international flight and/or immigration getting delayed.
