Dear all,
I was wondering if uber eats and driving are all legal methods of claiming employment in Canada?. I mean if in my first couple of months I worked as an uber, will that be considered as me employed or will it be dismissed?.
Uber transfers the commission or the salary via a bank transfer and I think the income is eligible for taxing too, so there are ways to prove it, does that make it ok?

Insights are appreciated.

Any income that is documented and can be proved is fine as long as you were legally allowed to work. Uber would usually come under self-employed. Talk to your accountant.

Are you planning to apply for citizenship this year? Also working for any legit business that transfers fund to bank accounts using your SIN is considered as good for CIC

No, not this year, the coming one but I am planning on doing the uber gig for about a month or two till I get another permanent job.
But uber eats they dont ask for the SIN what do you mean by using your SIN, I know that I will have to register through CRA but thats it right?

IF you want to drive uber (people) you have to register HST number it is uber requirement. you can not drive Uber without HST. as regards to Uber eats you do not need HST but you have to show CRA anyways your income so it is registered income and you have to pay taxes. UBer dows not provide T4 as uber calls all drivers as partners and not employees. You can choose to received income from uber to your bank account and you can claim that it was uber income and need to show CRA.
