Just to give a little context: I have been in Canada for more than 10 years. I came to Canada when i was 16 and now I am 26. Because of my complicated situation which is not relevant, I just for the first time finished my express entry application expecting to meet Canadian Experience Class. I just got a notification from CIC that I have only met the federal skilled worker criteria and was given a score of 523.
I have several questions.

1) Does it make any difference being in federal skilled worker class rather than Canadian experience class? (Considering I was an international student in Canada for 9 years and worked for 1 year between my degrees)

2) Am I expected to make the list in the next draw and when is the earliest time I will receive an ITA?

Thank you in advance for your response.
Well, from the look of things, you will have to wait for a general draw to clinch an ITA. Apparently, there are no priorities for the inland FSW candidates. They can go home if they want (double standard) :(

Is your law degree considered a Masters degree if yes then depending on the province then a provincial nominee program may be the best fit for you. Some PNPs don’t need a job offer if you graduate with a Canadian masters program.

Why didn’t you try going through express entry earlier CRS scores were as low as 415 in late 2017.

I don’t know your particular situation but you may try looking into getting a TRP for your situation. Try speaking to a lawyer. Great time to network and speak more in-depth about your situation.

479? Are you mocking us here? :D
Not at all, bud. I am just curious. I know 479 is more than enough for CEC draws, but with the amount of backlog in the pool, I am really not sure if it would be enough for the general draws when they resume. I am optimistic the scores will drop to low 470s when things settle down though. Again, I feel terrible for everyone who was looking forward to this week for a general draw. Hang in there!

479 would be enough any day, regardless of the backlogs. Any which way, you will get your ITA today.

Inland FSW. Doesn't it make you a CEC candidate after a year of work experience. Atleast you'll be able to grab an ITA then. Outsiders have it tough because it is really hard to increase the score for them.

Same situation here. Been here for more than 10 years and only eligible to Federal Skilled Worker. Did you have a diplomatic status ?

1) It does right now because the last 3 months we've only seen CEC and PNP draws and we still don't know when FSW draws will resume
2) You're expected to receive an invitation in the next FSW. Now what you should be worried about is when is this draw going to happen.
Hey broski, I'm on the same boat, I was in Canada for years, did my master in UK and uni in canada, and around 2 years of fsw noc experience, expecting to have 480 crs points, but kinda stuck rn, cause my uni in UK is currently not sending out transcript, can't apply for Wes yet

hello all. A quick query. How is an ACCA ( Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) person categorized under the educational slot in the CRS tool? which NOC is applicable for them ? are they eligible for PNP? TIA

Hey! :) Sure thing! Technically, you only need the documents that are required to enter the pool, which are the IELTS test results and the ECA report. But I went ahead and got all my other documents in advance, so that if I get an ITA, I am ready to apply immediately. And also I didn't want to be delayed by COVID closures when trying to source documents. So, on top of IELTS and WES ECA, I also have:
  • My police clearance (PCC)
  • My reference letters from both of my full-time employers
  • My full 6-months' bank statements for proof of funds
  • My upfront medical results (with a UMI number)
  • My photos, in the two required sizes for Canada
So, with all that plus 481 CRS,, I'm ready as an FSW. All I need is an ITA. :)

Even if I get an ITA, I will remain here, trying to help others.
thank you

I got ACCA and BSc from OBU evaluated as two different bachelor's degrees. So in CRS tool I chose two or more degrees option. There are a couple of NOCs depending on your type job. Some of the NOCs include 0111 Financial managers, 1111 Financial auditors and accountants, 1114 Other financial officers. You can find different NOC codes here.

Yes they are eligible for PNP. Recently ONIP issued NOI for 3 different NOC related to accounting & finance and the type of jobs that you do as an ACCA do fall in those NOC codes.

What's Plan B for most of the FSW people here?
have recd NOI from ontario..thinking whether to accept that or not. I do not want to waste 3 months and 1500 CAD on ONIP processing...thinking fsw draw may happen before that..currently at CRS 474.
