1. I read it in their mail or email response... Worst case send a photograph of your had written letter to your friend as back up.. should work

2. You decide now.. For me I chose proxy.. later I asked my friend not to go due to covid... Them requested them to change to collect it by UPS
Great.

I will first choose the proxy, but I will change it to pick-up in case of any issues like yours. Is it easy to request them to change the mode from proxy to courier pickup? How did you do that? by contact them via email?

Yeah, I emailed to them and they replied with below message.
"Proxy can bring in the fingerprints to our office from Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm (except 12.00 to 2 pm) ". :)

Thanks :)

IT sector had many openings and none of the experienced IT guys had any problems in finding jobs before the pandemic. But none of us knows what is going to happen after this pandemic. I know few IT guys were also laid off. I hope this will recover soon here.

I hope you will easily find a job in Canada as an experienced guy. so shouldn't be a problem for you.

I have the "watermark" thing on the fingerprint paper, not sure if they consider stamp

I mailed to Singapore Police and they accepted my FIPS one, and they already approved my application
I have taken my fingerprint impressions at Worldwide Forensic Services Inc. (https://www.fingerscan.ca/) today and they did the digital scan and print in a form (Live-Scan and printed on a standard fingerprint sheet ). They did a signature and stamp also. But this is not an ink fingerprint. They said that this will be accepted by SPF for COC. Did you do the same? or Is your fingerprint taken using an ink?

Hi,
Would you mind advising me how to arrange the courier to pick up my COC from SPF office?
I'd really appreciate the help.

FYI Singapore Citizens who apply for COC using Singpass do not need finger print impressions anymore. I received an email saying that it was no longer necessary. You can also complete a proxy form and ask a friend / relative to pick up the COC from the Cantonment station which is what I'm doing. Hope this helps.

Proxy must bring along NRIC / ID, signed authorization letter stating names of proxy and applicant, COC application. The SPF is super efficient!

Email spf_coc_office_shared@spf.gov.sg and ask them the exact procedure. They will reply to you within the day and help you arrange it. Quote your COC appplication number and all the necessary details.
Hi, thank you very much for your advice.

I have already sent an email to SPF_COC_Office@spf.gov.sg and got an auto-reply from spf_coc_office_shared@spf.gov.sg saying that they will reply my email within 05 business days. However, at that time my COC would have been sent to my postal address through their registered mail service. Should I apply for a duplicate and process with the courier? thank you very much

They'll likely reply to you within the day even though they say it can take up to 5 business days. If you need it urgently / promptly and money is not an issue, apply for a duplicate and inform them that you want it couriered asap. They're very obliging. I did not opt for registered mail because it can take up to 8 - 10 days for registered mail to reach me here in Vancouver from Singapore. Do you have anyone (friend / relative) in Singapore who can collect it for you? They can scan the COC to you so you can upload it asap. That way you can do away with the courier service and just wait for the registered mail.

I sent an email asking for their procedure to courier my COC last Thu 11 May, and has not got their reply until now. I also tried to reach them via phone, but it seems that it didn't work as no one picked up the line. Unfortunately, I don't have any close friends/ relatives in Singapore, one of the friends that I asked her assistance to collect my COC at SPF office, she is quite afraid of Covid and suggested to have the COC sent to her address, which makes the situation even more complicated. I only hope this hassle would end soon.

Hi. I'm sorry your experience was not as pleasant as mine. My brother collected the COC yesterday and he said it was hassle free. The whole process took 5 working days.

Hi,

Hope you can help me out here. Do I need to create a SingPass profile? The system is not accepting the details I enter whenever I try to create one. I've put in the information found in my Employment Pass.

TIA for the prompt response.

Regards,
Mike
