No worries it’s good sign
But why? They didn’t request anything, I didn’t sent documents.
My application status changed to “In process” a month ago and this week changed again to “Received”. This is so confuse

Hi all,

Any ideas on the time frame once the medical exams completed and the issuance of PR documents,i.e. COPR
For my father's file we received a request for medicals, police certificate, proof of income, passport pages, and to resubmit updated forms on March 6, 2020. Our deadline for the medical was 30 days from March 6 and for the rest of the documents it was 60 days from March 6. Due to COVID-19 we had to ask for extensions 3 times.

The last document we submitted was on May 20, 2020. And we got our CoPR in e-mail on May 27, 2020. The e-mail gave instructions to send a picture for the issuance of the PR card. The picture was received by the IRCC office on June 1, 2020. The letter advised there could be a delay in the printing of the PR card due to COVID-19 as staff was working at reduced capacity.

Hope this helps you some.

On May 20, 2020 we got an e-mail from the officer in NIAGARA BRO that our file was now complete and had been forwarded to an officer for final decision. A week later, our CoPR e-mail came from our local office - Ottawa.

I am planning on submitting these documents as soon as possible so it may accelerate the next stages in the processing of my moms application.

Should we apply for her work permit or just wait on her permanent papers? I am aware that the biometrics centres across Canada are closed and the processing time for a work permit is around 2 months.

I don't know how work permits work. My dad had been a landed immigrant before his status was revoked due to misrepresentation. However, he had all of his IDs and has been working legally without any problem. So he never needed a work permit.

And yes I agree, the sooner you submit the documents the sooner you're likely to hear from them. For us they were literally just waiting to get all the formalities of the paperwork in so they could give CoPR.

Yeah. I guess in your dads case you wouldn’t have needed to apply for a work permit to bridge the gap between AIP and a proper status.

I think I should file a work permit application just in case. If she ended up getting her COPR then the work permit application will just be voided. I am planning on doing this myself and the application costs like 155 bucks so not a big deal there.

IRPA makes it possible for applications made under A25(1) and the applicants who received a stage 1 approval to apply for a work permit or a study permit or both so they can obtain a job lawfully while waiting on their official landing papers

Hello @Bobb01

I am considering filing a H&C application for my partner, and looking for a lawyer that specialises in that type of applications.
Would you mind sharing your lawyer's contacts?

That would be greatly appreciated.

P.S: Congrats on your success!

If your mother has been approved for PR there is no need for a WP and she wouldn’t qualify for a WP as a PR. @bushra1122 situation is entirely different. After the father lost his PR the government did not deactivate his SIN# so he worked illegally using his previous SIN card #. He shouldn’t have worked without status in Canada and the government did not deactivate his SIN which is what usually happens when you lose your status in Canada.
