Guys,

Please I need your advise, please what documents do I need from my Fiance who is American Citizen as we are planning to spend some holiday in Canada because is easy for her to drive in Canada to safe us some cost. More so that I have been refused to visit her in US, but we have our Fiance Visa in US pending, we have meet and engaged in Dubai some year back. I also have history of Student Visa refused in Canada 3 years back.

Please I will appreciate your advise as I do not want to make any mistakes.

Thank you

Well you have to meet the visitors eligibility before you can be granted a visitor Visa and assuming you have been refuses a study Visa which is still under trvs I guess you need to work on your file with alot of keen Canada being one of the mind cracking visa applications if you don't do enough research. Plus you can apply but I'd strongly suggest you wait till things go to normal or otherwise purpose of visit will be a major refusal you not only need to worry about

It's going to be extremely difficult to get an approval. What can you show for proof of ties to your home country? How much can you show in savings?

No documents are needed from your fiance. All of the documents needed are from you.

I appreciate your feedback. I have a Business in my country and also some financial documentation to demonstrate my ties to my country. I was just curious with how the VO reason sometime, like why my fiance cannot visit me in Dubai or Nigeria again, why Canada, that's why I was thinking if anything will be required from her to support my application to make them understand that I will definitely leave after our vacation as we have K1 pending already.

Canada will care about the following
- your past refusal to Canada
- your past refusal to the U.S.
- demonstrating very strong ties to your home country (job, property, etc.) to show you have no plans on remaining in Canada long term
- if you yourself have enough funds to pay for this trip
- what previous countries you have visited that required a visa (such as the UK)
- your relationship with your fiance and the K1 application actually weakens your application since it shows your ties to your home country are not that strong and you have plans to leave

Thank you very much, I guess I should not mentioned in my application that we have file for K1.
I appreciate your advise.

Thank you very much

That would be a mistake and would very likely result in a refusal and probably being banned from Canada for 5 years for misrepresentation. Canada and the US share immigration information, so you not disclosing your current K1 application would be contrary to information available to IRCC. Lying or withholding relevant immigration information from them is not advisable in any situation as it is easily verified, particularly with the US.

Alright, I will take care of that. Thank you very much
