I did soft landing in Sep 2019 and returned back to India Oct 2019. I was supposed to return in Mar 2020 but was unable to do so and my boyfriend was supposed to join me on a student visa after his admission process was completed by mid 2020. Now we both are not considering moving to Canada before things settle down due to covid and it is safe to travel. We were supposed to be together by now but bcoz the future is becoming extremely uncertain in terms of whether he will get college admission or not and many other factors that I have thought about in detail I feel being a PR and applying through outland sponsorship for him after marriage would be the safest bet. We haven't been able to get married due to inter religion problems between families (his side) and it's been 7 years now and nothing seems to be working out so I feel that I am willing to apply for outland sponsorship even if it means being apart for a year or so bcoz atleast it will be a sure shot thing no matter how long it takes. Now I wanted to ask that if we both get married in India this year -
1. Firstly can I wait to go to Canada end of this year or early next year and then start the sponsorship process or will it raise doubts as to why am I filing sponsorship after so many months of marriage.
2. Secondly after landing in Canada after how much time can I start my outland sponsorship application for my spouse in India
3. Do I need to have a job to sponsor my spouse?
We both have enough proof regarding our relationship since we have been together 7 years so the application if done correctly should not raise any doubts as far as I can see. If I am missing anything please do help.

If you are a PR you must be physically in Canada to sponsor. Once you are in Canada and have all the required documents you can apply to sponsor. You don't need a job but you need to demonstrate how you plan to financially support yourself and your spouse.
