Hi folks!

I submitted my eAPR on 29 April 2020 08:00 p.m. EDT as per the Confirmation of Application Transmission receipt. But when I check the dashboard it says that I applied on 30 April and don't say much about the time. I got my AOR as well.

Q1: Do I need to pay extra fee difference? Since I applied before 9 am EDT on 30th April?

The fee increment ruling said:

Completed applications received before 09:00 am EDT on April 30, 2020, will be processed in accordance with the fee schedule in place prior to April 30, 2020.
My application says "You have successfully transmitted your Online Application on 29 April 2020 08:00 p.m. EDT."

Q2: When will I get the biometrics request, do I need to do something for that?

I read/heard people used to get biometrics requests right away after getting AOR. I got the AOR but no biometrics request. Is that because biometric collection centers are closed due to COVID19 or do I need to do something? I only received the AOR and the confirmation of application transmission.

Looking forward!

  1. Your Confirmation of Application Transmission , should have the exact time your application was received, if it was before the cut-off then you are fine. Something like: "You have successfully transmitted your Online Application on <DATE> <TIME> EDT."
  2. Eventually, it is usually one of the last steps. You'll get a biometrics collection letter.

Yes, if I click the `Confirmation of Online Application Transmission` link I get a pop up that says:

Hello,

You have successfully transmitted your Online Application on 29 April 2020 08:13:33 p.m. EDT.

Does that mean I don't need to pay anything extra and just wait to receive the biometrics request?

There you go, you applied before the deadline, so you are good.

Exactly, all you need to do is wait now.

Folks,

I just received a request letter saying we need to pay the difference. I'm super confused.

QUESTION #1: Should I pay the difference? Which is $412.17 (570 CAD) for me and my spouse? Or should I upload the old receipt and explain that I paid on 29th not 30th?

QUESTIONS #2: If I pay, the additional payment is meant to be paid via https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/order.do?category=10115&lang=en link. When I try to login there it says I don't have an account. Does my EE account not work here? Should I create a new account here for payment with the same email ID and download the receipt and upload to my original account?

How long did it take you to get the biometrics request? I applied for the work permit in late February 2022 but received no response except a confirmation of submission. I raised a webform but received a very generic response a few hours later.

I have also not been instructed to do any medicals or police clearances. Really anxious as I was supposed to travel overseas for a few months next month.
