Ray of Hope - 145th Draw - CEC

For some people, it's their only window. I am at 470, lost out in Feb 19 draw due to tie breaker and waiting since. I will lose 5 points in May. Sure, the draws will resume after this is over but what about people who won't get another shot at this? Unfortunately no one is considering this part.

That's the only point of an ITA at this stage. For people like me, its now or never. We understand it may take longer for us to get to canada eventually and that's okay. But to lose out on this dream just because we were born between Mar to Jun (or till whenever this continues) is not fair.
It happens to others too. I didn't get CEC my first year in Canada because I was just some week off 52 weeks. So I missed a full year of eligibility. So it's the same for me. The express entry system isn't fair for anyone. People from some commonwealth countries get 2 years of in Canada. So they can get an LMIA without applying for example. Where as most people only get a year. And managing to work 52 out of 5 weeks to get CEC is not easy.

And then this crap I'm seeing from others that them having a university degree makes them more civilized and ethical. That's the biggest bs I've seen. I have a degree as well. It means very very little

lol if my LMIA failed and CEC only draws stop, I will move to a different province. BC PNP is a scam in which for someone to get selected, their qualifications would basically equal 500 CRS score or having 200k income.

The reason is that CEC candidates are mostly already in Canada, they don't have problems traveling. PNP nominations expire after 6 months and it would be a hassle if the provinces ended up having to reissue all the PNP nominations amd link them to your EE profile again in a few months when covid is over.
What I wonder is why they can't just invite people from all streams that have an active job in Canada. That would be much more certain than CEC as many might have worked 12 months and then their visa ended

Thanks for still trying to remain positive in all of this. I appreciate it.

I can say I'm super frustrated. Not about Canada pausing FSW draws because of COVID. That makes perfect sense. More just about not knowing when the next one will be. Having documents that I paid for that will expire. Medicals that will expire in December. That kind of thing.

Sitting with 481 CRS and not knowing when the next draw for my stream will be, and if it'll be in time.

But, having said that, I agree with you that we need to try and remain positive. Patience is key, and positivity helps us get by, and can make others around us feel the same way. So, I do appreciate your comment.
With a 481, you shouldn't be frustrated at all. You're almost guaranteed to get ITA

I have been following this forum from a generous long time now, what i see here there is an ongoing battle between FSW and CEC candidates, did CEC candidates chose the way IRCC is operating? No right, so there is no point in arguing with each other, IRCC will do whatever they want to do, being positive is the only option we got.

There should be a draw happening today guys! Are we going to see a surprising GENERAL draw from IRCC? Stay tuned from another episode of Ray of Hope :)
