I get you, some people are sore losers. The thing is, they are not getting it in their senses that all this is being caused because of some deadly disease. CEC folk didn't create it to benefit themselves (FSW had a right to defame CEC fellas if this was true). Rather, the government is taking steps to atleast keep the draws going on a regular basis. A complete standstill on this would rather create chaos among all. We have seen the effects of a missed draw. Imagine 10 missed draws. I know there aren't many additions to the pool and the effects won't be that drastic, but still be really dangerous for many folks out here.

FSW candidates must rather rejoice the fact that the amount of people is reducing in the pool. Many of the 460 and 470+ would also include CEC fellas. Now that they are out of the pool, lower scoring FSW could atleast have half a chance at the ITA.

It isn't all about if the glass is half full or half empty. The glass has water, and every last drop of it gives me courage to endure this draught.

We all are here for the same purpose (though a small amount are here for entertainment only). We should try and raise the moral of each other rather than being smug for one reason or another. Every dog has its days.

(There will be comeback comments, hard hitting ones too and too much negative thoughts. I accept everything.)

Edit : spelling errors corrected
Exactly. No-one wanted this epidemic to happen. It would be nice if people could share in others' successes instead of denigrating them. And I agree, every dog has it's day.

Always very sensible. It's always a delight to read your posts.

This is exactly the point most of people are missing to note in this blog. What benefit an ITA has if you cant apply while being under lockdown??? Visa services do not fall under essential services and GOD knows when will things start going normal even after lockdown in all countries end. Unless Canada's visa offices resume work in most countries there is absolutely no point in inviting FSW candidates.
For some people, it's their only window. I am at 470, lost out in Feb 19 draw due to tie breaker and waiting since. I will lose 5 points in May. Sure, the draws will resume after this is over but what about people who won't get another shot at this? Unfortunately no one is considering this part.

That's the only point of an ITA at this stage. For people like me, its now or never. We understand it may take longer for us to get to canada eventually and that's okay. But to lose out on this dream just because we were born between Mar to Jun (or till whenever this continues) is not fair.

This thread!

At the end of the day, I hope you all realize that the country is giving you an opportunity and it is not about who deserves it or not. You couldn't begrudge Canada if all immigration programs get cancelled tomorrow. The country is not obligated to be fair to any foreign national so that condescending attitude about one stream being more valuable to the economy more than the other should stop.

Your emotion is fair, I will pray for your ITA one way or another, be it PNP, be it back to back draws! I have been there, be patient, eventually all the pain will ease over time.
Try not to unload your frustration on CEC folks, hope you will put all these negativity before moving onto next thread. peace
