I just think it is wrong to assume CRS will go down when FSW resumes due to suspension of IELTS and WES. There are so many factors that affect the score. Also ECA bodies only suspend new applications and still process ongoing apps so do expect a lot of ECA reports to be issued.

Worry solves nothing and pessimism will not only make you lose hope, it will also make you blind to the opportunities springing up around you.

No matter what it seems like in this journey today, people will still come here to testify about their ITAs and subsequent PRs and I will be one of them. I will even quote this post to share my testimony.

Right, CEC and PNP (3900 invites) applicants will be out from the distribution list that I shared. Yes, FSW draw cut-off will definitely drop down whenever CIC starts rolling out round of invitation for FSW candidates. If you noticed, only 8K applicants are falling under 461-470, that means, with 2 FSW future draws, most likely this queue will be cleared.

When will this happen? There is no as such update on FSW draws so far. CIC is prioritizing CEC and PNP candidates currently and that's a ray of hope for people eagerly waiting for FSW draw. But, on the positive side, CIC has not paused round of invitations so far.

I personally believe that COVID-19 pandemic will act like blessings for people falling under 450 & above CRS score. They should be really hopeful for their golden ticket. Moreover, once the CRS score is dropped, province like Ontario will come up with their low score range to select occupations in demand (under tech draw and general draw).

Be positive, trust in yourself and believe in God. It's just a matter of time, good things are on the way! :)
Hi thank you so much for sparing your valuable time out for all the insights shared.Thank you for the good wishes and encouragement :) God bless!!

You are right. if the next draw is for all categories including FSW, the cut-off point will probably lower than that in previous rounds, or lower than 470 to be precise. However, I would like to point out that:
- We are not sure when the next round of invitations that includes FSW will happen. It could be the next draw. It could be 1 month, 2 months from now. We have no clue at all. Everything is just speculation.
- We do not know if IRCC will resume FSW draws before WES and IELTS tests do. If this not happen, the cut-off points won't be too attractive, either.
- Some of us are losing points because our 30th birthdays are coming. Mine will in August so I should be worried for myself as well.
Hi thank you very much for the insights. Hoping all of us in the pool get the invites before our birthdays as I think their target is huge and to complete it they will need to pick up the FSW category soon. ALL THE BEST,GOD BLESS!

To all those people who said "Trump has stopped immigration", let me share some details.
1- The ban applies to GREEN CARD only
2- The ban lasts for 60 days

So what does this mean?
A typical GREEN CARD application takes around 10 years. (This is an average figure based on applicants from all over the world). The waiting period is huge due to the limited quotas and backlogs in the system.

How does this impact FSW draws?

Firstly, why would anyone living in the USA on a work visa and on track to receive a green card drop out of the process and move to Canada?

The ban by trump would have had a huge impact if it included H1B visas as well. We must consider ourselves very lucky as H1B visas have not been banned.

Canada should be following suit, we should expect an announcement soon.
Are you from IRCC or CBSA to quote this? During a press conference with Trump and Trudeau (an year ago), Trump openly said he is against open immigration whereas Trudeau informed he will continue the policy of their quoted immigration plan no matter what
Then why is that people like you spread negativity? My sister who lives in Montreal spoke to her friend (BAR council member and a Canadian) and she was told that they are finding ways to conduct the FSW draw to increase the flow of money an immigrant brings but not to halt this in any way.
This is also on the list of their priorities.
Canada has been an immigrant-friendly country since 1950s. From 1950 until today, there have been a lot of outbreaks (Ebolas, Flus, HIVs, SARS, and others), multiple recessions, multiple bankruptcies but still, Canada has never stopped its Skilled, Economic, Business immigration to its country. They are picking the best candidates from the lot (impeccable English skills, Skilled labor, good background, a good amount of money in their bank accounts and more importantly the ability of most immigrants to assimilate the culture and blend with the country)
Following Canada, England, Germany, France, NZ, AUS, Japan, and other nations are welcoming immigrants to address their nation's labor market and age factor.
So plssssss note that Canada is never gonna stop immigration pattern (no skipping of draws as you have seen in the previous weeks) and I'm telling this with concrete proofs and backgrounds.
If you still wanna spread negativity and dishearten people better keep it with you
Fellas, chill. Don't listen to such speculations.
IRCC has openly said in a tweet that they will continue to welcome immigrants. FSW draws will open once situation eases (probably after May 3 when almost all nations ease their lockdown) and you will see scores coming to 467s and 464s
What else you need more than this
Be positive and you will make it
Simply avoid such negative posts

The 'ban' by Trump is simply yet another deflection to keep his base happy that he is appearing to do something. Green card applications were apparently already on hold anyway depending which reports believe so this is yet another deflection as he has done every single day for last 3.5 years

If you have been following ROH threads, there are a few trolls who make troll posts just to derail the discussion or demotivate others. Best thing you can do is agree with them and they will disappear for a few days which is what I did.

I would like to second this.
Governments usually take a lot of time and effort to come up with plans that take years to be executed. When Canada announced that they would accept more immigrants, they will carry out no matter what. Governments don't give a damn about what their citizens think or whether they are happy about this.
